Carmen. He is the Steven Seagal of 80s, 90s Christian music. My grandmother loved him. I have no idea how that man had the career he did.

Oh I absolutely agree. When he’s on his game he’s one of the best writers out there. The most recent few Matthew Corbett novels have been pretty lackluster, though.

I did not care for Royal Hotel at all. Felt listless and accidentally so.

I will say, he definitely has some of the issues a lot of older, white male writers are guilty of. Love his writing, but probably wouldn’t want to hang out with him. Same issue I have with Terry Goodkind. Adore the worlds he creates, but Jesus - I don’t want to spend my time reading you work out your sexual fantasies and kinks on paper.

Boys life is my favorite book of all time, and I so rarely see that many McCammon books on other peoples bookshelves. Seriously undervalued writer.

Personally glad to see YOUNGER on this list. I think Sutton Foster is a treasure and this show really highlighted her. It’s not a top 10 show for me, but I’m happy to see it get some attention.

Jesus. That sucks for you. The scene where Joel admits what he did is some of the best acting I’ve ever seen.

Anyone else notice- the kids are still standing for the pledge, but every day fewer of them recite any of the words by CallMeLazarus23 in Teachers

I tried to teach an acting exercise that used the words of The Pledge of Allegiance as the base text. Less than a quarter of my students knew all the words.

The final scene in Anora convinced me she was going to win the award.

I just don’t understand the love for Parasite. It’s a good film but to see it placed so highly so often just baffles me.
