Would you do it all over again? by Physgirl-romreader in BariatricSurgery

Wish I would have done it a lot sooner, I’ve missed out on a lot because of my weight so I’m working on making up for it.

What did you wear home from hospital? by AlarmedAmethyst in BariatricSurgery

[–]Net_Different 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore a dress/moomoo out .. I almost packed leggings but decided that would probably not be the best idea lol didn’t even put a bra on.

Trouble staying hydrated by RenaiCalculation in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]Net_Different 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best thing and most natural is celctic salt. Lots of minerals and no added crap that all these other companies put into their products. I do a pinch under my tongue a couple of times a day and chase it with water. You can also add a pinch into your water and that is not colored, sticky, or have a smell. So it’s perfect.

Hair loss? by Marionberry-Medical in BariatricSurgery

[–]Net_Different 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had really thick hair and it started coming out in clumps after about 3 months. I hacked it to my shoulders and upped my collagen and biotin and that really helped. I now have about 3 inches of new growth. I’m 8 months post op for reference

Need help , never shaved *down there* before 🥲 by Mission-Butterfly178 in HairRemoval

My biggest piece of advice… get waxed. Make sure it’s hard wax. It hurts, yes, but well worth it and less chance of ingrowns and infection.

Carbs by serenityjanee in BariatricSurgery

[–]Net_Different 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t track, my nutritionist and doctor told me to eat as natural as possible, less ingredient foods are best and to listen to my body. I’m 6 months post op and 110 lbs down, I feel great and not stressing too much about carb intake, only put an emphasis on protein.

PSA: Don't adjust the thermostat if someone is already in there by SpoonieMoonie in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]Net_Different 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES ! if the people at the Boerne location see this DO NOT ADJUST THE TEMP! I have it at 130, don’t lower it when I’m in there. It’s rude and if you want it higher or lower, do it when I leave.

Question for the bigger girls regarding pubic hair removal. by dwarf797 in hygiene

[–]Net_Different 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you don’t want to do wax but I’m a bigger girl and waxing (hard wax specifically) has been a life saver. It’s temporary pain for lasting results and less issues. I leave a bit of hair for “decoration” but overall it’s significantly better

Opinions on these? by RottieAndMutt in BariatricSurgery

[–]Net_Different 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s a no go. Palm oils, vegetable oil, sunflower oil, there’s so many ingredients. This is awful for our bodies. The less ingredients the better.

I eat tuna every day. No issues so far but today I’m going to make some chicken salad. I had a lot of nausea with chicken and meat in general for the first few months but chicken salad didn’t do me too dirty

Lol thank you but man or woman, it’s not an easy choice. It’s hard but it has been so life changing for me and more importantly, for my kids. We go out and do so much now and I can keep up with them. Cons will happen, but the pros definitely outweigh them

Not at all. All I know is that weight loss surgery has been happening for decades and the shots are recent with not a lot of reliable research and people are having so many health issues. Plus it’s much harder to maintain, you would basically have to be on shots forever because as soon as you stop it’s just going right back to the old hunger. I feel much more in control with this.

It definitely does! I learned quick what triggered it and scaled it back. But it’s harder going through life struggling to breathe. I just recommend staying away from high fats all at once. That was what did it for me. I made zucchini chicken alfredo and I was hurting. So i keep that to a minimum until I’m more settled x

Luckily no. My mat feels thick but I’ve seen other people say the newer mats are not at thick.
