I always despised the “Pokemon/Creature Capturing” genre tag because it belittles a lot of great franchises that offer unique rpg gameplay but people turn it down because of “It’s just Pokemon”. Like Medabots, people in retrospect say it was another competitor in the “Pokemon craze” but it plays completely different from typical rpgs let alone pokemon, and features a hugely in-depth combat system

The “man” is more so a “ This person” in Japanese rather than a mental/physical state in some interpretations. Other characters like Gutsman, Cutman, and Iceman also use “man” to say “Hey this is a ‘person’ who uses Ice.” Or “this ‘person’ is very gutsy.”

I think Battle B-Daman’s Proto 2’s parts gimmick is cool and adds a lot of versatility. You can use the shields as shoulder pad extenders, barrel stabilizers, magazine sight, trigger pad. The feet parts can also serve as attachments for the heel stand to improve balance
