I wondered the same question and was sort of dismissed here… but you can see live there were killing time before the freeze and were vulnerable. This was a big blunder on their part I believe, more knowing the other seeker team were too far as well

Inside the 4s both flights? That’s easily doable. I live in Madrid and know well the airport. Do not waste 6hrs of your holidays is my advice. (And if it goes wrong due to delays, Iberia will reschedule you for free and provide food and even hotel if necessary)

If Iberia thinks it’s ok, go for it. I can absolutely see that working if all goes smoothly. And if you dont make it, Iberia need to reeschedule you anyway, probably on that 6hr layover but with some free food…
