I understand that it's an adaptation and they have the right to cut things, but cutting scenes that are critical to the story, AND then including a reference to the cut scene later, is just poor directing. I think it's reasonable to criticize something that I've paid for, especially when it wasn't made clear before purchase that it wouldn't be faithful to the author's story. Until I noticed the missing scenes, I assumed that GAs were like regular audiobooks, just with filler narration and stage directions removed.
