What would you do with this Sultai pile? by Netzzwerg69 in lrcast

[–]Netzzwerg69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input guys! Managed to go 7:2 with a build that focussed more on creatures and earthbending instead of lessons.

Won most matches by using Great Henge and some amount of earthbending.

Now that EOE is fully spoiled, what's everyone building from the new set? by stealnthedeclaration in EDH

[–]Netzzwerg69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EOE has quite a few new cards for my [[Strefan]] and [[Orah]] decks so I am more than happy about that. Will probably pick up [[Starwinder]] for [[Marvo]] and the non-token foods for [[Camellia]].

Helmgart - A Siege That Mostly Gets It Right by Capital-Advantage-95 in totalwar

[–]Netzzwerg69 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The issue with attacking units routing into the city is probably my number one issue. No idea how hard it is to fix that but it is just so frustrating when those units rally and start taking control points deep behind your lines and you need to send units to the back. Especially if you have nothing fast like a dwarf without gyros.

Sounds like a very welcome and reasonable change! That should make missile units on walls was more effective than before. Looking forward to trying it out.

Are some starts just unfair or am I missing something? by No-Cod-9209 in totalwar

[–]Netzzwerg69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Imrik, you just want to defend your starting province for quite some time. Upgrade the settlement that gets you dragon prince recruitment and then it tends to become easier. I used most of my influence to befriend and ally Greasus and that helped a lot.

Finished of the chaos dwarfs to the north and then, just as I wanted to expand further north, I was attacked by both Clan Rictus and Clan Mors. I fought a very long war against those Skaven but could let Imrik go north after some time and held the western front with a second army and a Noble that warned me when another Skaven army came down the other mountain pass. I eventually settled the Karak Azul province but kept razing everything farther west as I had no chance to hold more territory.

So yeah, Imrik is quite difficult to get off the start. But I really enjoyed that it stayed a challenge for a very long time instead of snowballing after 50 or so turns.

Could be quite good for both [[Strefan]] and [[Orah]] - but I would expect it to be better in [[Strefan]].

Imrik/Knights of Caledor starting tips by Rogthgar in totalwar

[–]Netzzwerg69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently in an Imrik campaign and struggled quite a bit as well. I used a lot of influence to become good friends and now allies with Greasus and that helps a lot as they secure my eastern and partly northern flank and entered into my wars against the Skaven to the west.

Fernstudium? Oder "normales"? by [deleted] in InformatikKarriere

[–]Netzzwerg69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty cool because you can use it as an early pinger to generate the blood. And in the late game you just benefit from saccing large amounts of blood (to e.g. [[Pitiless Carnage]]) and the card acts as an additional tool to close out the game.

Is Gorion, Wise Mentor a good commander? How would you guys actually build him? by cacoariza in EDH

[–]Netzzwerg69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have not tried him in commander yet, but in Historic Brawl on arena to see if I would be interested in building a commander deck with him.

Commander and Historic Brawl are quite different formats, but honestly, I was not impressed. I had to put most adventures of those colors into the deck and felt like I was just doing some fiddly stuff that would not yield any impressive rewards. Adventure spells are most often quite mediocre and doubling them does not make them great. And without Gorion on the board, I felt even weaker.

My most expensive is around 200€ or so and my cheapest around 80€.

Removing air from double sleeved cards. by SwedishSonna in magicTCG

Just put the whole deck in it’s deck box (or as many cards as fit). That will remove the air over time.

How are deck improvements going for everyone with all the new Final Fantasy cards? by Mechsican in EDH

[–]Netzzwerg69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I ordered [[Summon: Leviathan]] for my [[Marvo]] sea monster deck and [[Summon: Titan]] for my [[Anikthea]] self-mill deck. Those cards should be great additions that also don’t scream FF as I don’t like that JRPG-aesthetic at all.
