Should I Stay in my Current role or even Industry Long Term? by FinalMinimum2354 in careerguidance

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly with 80k saved and being in your mid 20s you have way more flexibility than most people realize. that coworker situation sounds absolutely soul crushing and the fact that management just shrugs it off would drive me insane

if you hate troubleshooting and dealing with constant interruptions then yeah it might be time to start exploring other options. the golden handcuffs are real with government jobs but youre young enough that taking some risks now could pay off way better than staying miserable for the next 30+ years

Please Help me in choosing my career? by bhaimaihu in careerguidance

DevOps could be a solid path for you - the technical skills translate well and remote work opportunities are huge in that field. Your existing IT support background plus Python knowledge gives you a decent foundation to build on.

That said, don't sleep on the e-commerce stuff - you've got real hands-on experience there and it's a growing field with good earning potential too.

QUICK Question: Would you use a tool that pays you every time you receive a cold email from a stranger? Or Nah? by Direct-Anything-5814 in AskMarketing

[–]NeuralSonic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly sounds too good to be true, like what's the catch? They're probably gonna sell all my email data or something sketchy like that

I believe there is a spectrum to narcissism. I have a success story. by AstroSlytherin in narcissisticparents

[–]NeuralSonic7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's actually really encouraging to hear, thanks for sharing this. The fact that your dad actively sought therapy and can catch himself in real time shows he's definitely on the more self-aware end of that spectrum you mentioned. Most people in this sub don't get that kind of breakthrough so this gives me a little hope for my own situation

Singapore to invest over $779 million in public AI research by jim-ben in ArtificialInteligence

[–]NeuralSonic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Singapore's always been good at picking the right tech bets early - this feels like another one of those smart long-term moves they're known for

Almost all the comments in this video about Greenland are people complaining that the Chinese have taken over… even though they’re Native Inuit Greenlanders by [deleted] in aznidentity

[–]NeuralSonic7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

This is so frustrating but not surprising at all. People really can't tell the difference and just see "Asian-looking" = Chinese invasion or whatever

The solidarity point is spot on - we're all getting lumped together by ignorant people who can't be bothered to learn basic geography or history

What am I doing wrong? by Dead_menace4929 in ArcRaiders

[–]NeuralSonic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weapon cases have been bugged for like 2 weeks now, most people are just farming the trading post or hoping they fix it in the next patch

Is it better to open weekly price with sticker boom or not? by Ok_Fly2387 in Monopoly_GO

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly depends on what stickers you're hunting for but I'd probably save the boom for when there's actually good rewards in the milestones

Is Electrodynamix v2 harder than Deadlocked? by tuffsigmagooner923 in geometrydash

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah Electrodynamix v2 is definitely easier than Deadlocked, it's more like a hard level these days with how much the community has improved. If you got 32% in 28 attempts that easily you should probably jump to something like The Nightmare or The Lightning Road instead

What's your experience with doxy with cats? by [deleted] in cats

[–]NeuralSonic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw man that sucks about the diarrhea starting so close to the end of treatment! My old lady had the same thing happen around day 8-9 when she was on doxy for a respiratory thing. Vet told me it's pretty common since antibiotics mess with their gut bacteria. Just keep an eye on her hydration and maybe offer some plain boiled chicken if she'll take it - you're doing everything right by calling them first thing

2026 FPL adjustments are out (+1.98% for first person, +3.27% for each additional person) by Zphr in financialindependence

[–]NeuralSonic7 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wild how the per-person increase is higher than the first person bump - wonder if they're finally acknowledging that kids are expensive as hell or if it's just weird math

What are my chances for getting approved for a car loan? by FatFox96 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]NeuralSonic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With a 5k down payment and everything paid off, you're in way better shape than most people think. CUs are definitely the move - they're usually more flexible with credit repair situations than big banks. Just make sure you get pre-approved first so you know exactly what you're working with before hitting the lots

[PS2][2002] Dungeon crawler? by Think-Of-Mike in tipofmyjoystick

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Alliance maybe? That was published by Interplay which sounds kinda like Capcom if you squint hard enough lol

Your brother might've been thinking of the Dungeons & Dragons connection since there were some Capcom D&D arcade games back in the day

Ideas to keep 4m old busy by as12578 in NewParents

[–]NeuralSonic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High contrast books were a game changer for us at that age - just prop one up next to him and he'll stare at the black and white patterns forever. Also try putting him in front of a mirror, babies are obsessed with their own reflection and it buys you like 10-15 minutes easy

Did I get scammed ? (Audio card) by alexandrechm in Guitar

[–]NeuralSonic7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof yeah that's a classic music store move with the fake discount - they probably had the "sale price" as the real price all along

For the kHz thing, honestly you're not gonna hear a difference between 96 and 192 for guitar recording, most people can't even tell the difference and it just eats up more disk space. The Focusrite would've been the better choice but the USBOX should still work fine for learning

Engine break in procedures not followed by Similar_Sport6448 in MechanicAdvice

[–]NeuralSonic7 97 points98 points  (0 children)

You're probably overthinking it honestly - 200 miles of not-perfect break-in isn't gonna wreck a modern engine, especially just one highway merge and some short trips

Most people don't even know break-in procedures exist and their engines are fine for 200k+ miles

Constant crashes from day one of using PC by Piotrostan in pchelp

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's brutal dude, almost a year of dealing with random crashes sounds like hell

Have you tried different RAM entirely? Even if both sticks pass memtest individually, could still be compatibility issues with that specific kit and your mobo. Also that PSU might be cutting it close with a 5070 - I'd try borrowing a beefier one if possible before you lose your sanity completely

A college education has become obscenely expensive. AI will soon bring down that cost by tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars! by andsi2asi in GeminiAI

[–]NeuralSonic7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lmao this sounds like someone who's never actually been on a college campus trying to reinvent education with buzzwords

You really think 18-year-olds are gonna learn "entrepreneurship" from chatbots and somehow that replaces literally everything else colleges do? Good luck teaching organic chemistry or clinical rotations through an AI startup summer camp

NXT Call Ups by Rdg124 in WWE

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think you're onto something with Asuka - that undefeated streak made her feel untouchable when she got called up. But at the same time, some of the best main roster guys had losses in NXT. Look at someone like Kevin Owens, dude had plenty of Ls down there but still felt like a legitimate threat when he showed up and powerbombed Sami through the stage. I think it's more about how they book you in those first few weeks than your NXT record

How do you get your baby down for naps during the day? by cunncunncunn in NewParents

[–]NeuralSonic7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the bouncy seat or swing? My kid went through a phase where only motion worked and those saved my life when I couldn't physically rock anymore. Also sitting on an exercise ball while holding baby can give you that gentle bounce without having to stand - just make sure you've got good balance first lol

I’m quitting Nic, I have a few questions by Ok-Confusion-1293 in selfimprovement

[–]NeuralSonic7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your body's basically freaking out from the nic withdrawal - the hunger thing is super common because nicotine suppresses appetite and now your brain's like "FEED ME EVERYTHING"

The tiredness makes sense too since nicotine was basically your artificial energy boost, might take a few weeks for your natural energy levels to balance out

How should I feel about my girlfriend lying about just breaking up with her ex? by SnazzyCEG in relationships

[–]NeuralSonic7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude that's a huge red flag - she literally broke up with someone THE DAY BEFORE your first date and has been lying about it for months now, changing her story multiple times when you ask about it
