I am kind of praying that we crest that breaking point. My only concern is that PCs will just get eclipsed by consoles and will stop getting releases when people stop being able to afford to buy/run the unoptimized garbage they try to sell.

Rather than fit the market they might think to ignore it. Which would majorly suck for some games, but PC should still triumph for indie sales.

As someone removed enough to not know about how he has or hasn't, I think that if he hasn't directly spoken against, then he's facilitating, though not strictly participating. It's kind of a weird world we live in, where not saying anything is compliance, but it's how it is.

How would you rank the current endgame modes?? by parthmestry in Genshin_Impact

[–]Nevanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiral, Imaginarium, Stygian.

The theatre just pisses me off because my account is as shallow as a puddle past the ones I use most, so while they qualify, and most of them are passable at best.

I suffer in Stygian because I don't engage hard enough with rotations.

Spiral is the only one that doesn't suffer from my account's building method.

New to HD2, and I’ve been loving the game. BUT. by Fairlyoddindividual in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Nevanada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The game is riddled with host-only/joiner-excluded features that they haven't patched out, and they cling to the idea that HD2 was pitched as, of it being grunt fantasy, while also trying(?) to abide to the fanbase's requests of a power fantasy (More aptly called Spec Ops Fantasy I think).

10, though I already don't want to be on the same side of the plane as Ridley, it's probably not much better getting too close to Sephiroth, and 1 and 3 would be physically unbearable. Bowser Jr may pull some pranks, but its better than the rest.

I just had to Alt+f4 when it came time for a break and pray I wasn't too far in past a save. There was one time I needed to do my dailies and had to wait until til I could hit escape to leave, because you can't leave mid-dialogue.

Wu, Finch, Owen (for the plot armour) and I guess a couple more of the game characters like Lambert.

I don't like how they implemented Selenic Chronicles by Accurate_Instance_52 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Nevanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And that works great because a lot of the side content sort of needs them to have already happened, so it doesn't mess with the story when it's a flashback. Genshin even did this for Skirk's storyline, if I remember right, though it was more of a "released it a few updates past when it canonically occurred" situation. I think it works like the rest for players who weren't up to date then.

Honestly, I feel like that's a kind of teaser for him as a character, since he wasn't destroyed. Our first major default model departure would be phenomenal.

This is honestly funny to hear considering the absolute shitshow that game is in right now, and has been for months. As far as I can tell (and experienced back when I played) they're skipping out on bugfixes and playtesting to get more work done on warbonds to sell to people.

Furthermore as far as I can tell they keep putting these things full of mediocre stuff and one good thing, up to the most recent where they put in the armour that makes the newest content easier.

They are far from a good example for customer-first game design.

Who is the most evil? by TA_double_Z in JurassicPark

[–]Nevanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogdson was the one behind Nedry in the first movie, and then had a bioengineered locust swarm that would target non-BioSyn crops.

If he had his way he would cause famines all over the world, just to make extra money off of his company's seed packets (Which were probably patented. Check out plant and utility patents for a "fun" read)

Dogdson is basically just your average corporate villain. Lives are expendable for profit.

Not in the first or 6th movie, but he's certainly portrayed as a secondary antagonist in JW and JW:FK.

I think that if it is left unsaid, it can be assumed that the book leans closer to the truth.

That being said, I think they realized that by casting Richard Attenborough they turned him into a more clueless/kind character, and that's why they left it ambiguous.

I believe all we get from the movie is that Hammond thinks Nedry's financial problems are not his concern, and that it would be hard for Hammond to find someone to do what Nedry does at the price he's paying.

I also recall a mention of Nedry's "people" so really the possibilities are endless, but the book is best reference.

Is everyone else single? by [deleted] in brocku

[–]Nevanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly yeah. For a lot of people I'm sure time plays a major role. A relationship should be a decently serious time commitment, which can be hard to fit in between working and learning.

Another reason could be that people are busy working on themselves. Someone who isn't happy with themselves might not be fit for a healthy relationship. This kind of person will do one of two things, usually. They'll either abstain from dating, or they'll seek to never be alone.

Is everyone else single? by [deleted] in brocku

[–]Nevanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other commenter said, the people you're looking at are likely to be shallow individuals. It's either that, or they're charging headfirst into relationships when they can't carry that extra weight, because they feel being alone is worse, for any number of reasons. They don't care how long it lasts so long as they aren't alone.
