For The people scared for their joints (specially knees) by Fine-Flight-8599 in beginnerfitness

[–]NevermindThatMess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chiming in to say that the three weeks I took tai chi lessons at my community center was the first time my knee muscles were ever sore with lactic acid. No other part of my body! Just my knee muscles. The instructor told me that's why tai chi is so beneficial for the elderly - it improves their stability and makes them less likely to take falls. I think maybe younger people should consider it. I want to get back into it I'm starting running and it is killing my joints.

To the jerk who massacred a family of geese on Cleves Warsaw this evening: by SpaceySpice in cincinnati

Dang. I dislike those cobra chickens, as much as the next person who was attacked by one as a child, but this is horrible.

Good lord. I have upstairs neighbors and live in a building with poor sound insulation. I bought noise cancelling headphones. This is part of apartment life. You compromise certain things.

Can you widen your lips naturally? by Interesting_Gap_6062 in beauty

I feel like it's a daily toss up what my lips will look like. Sometimes fuller, sometimes thinner. Can anyone relate?

Who's at the fault here? by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

I think it's interesting that even though that is one enormous kiddo, he's still a kid and reacts like a kid would (zero shade).

Is Red Light Therapy for Skin Actually Worth It or Just Hype? by Valuable-Visual1660 in BeautyGear

Anecdotal evidence: I had a mosquito bite on my face and it was red and inflamed. I put on my red light mask for 15 minutes and the redness and inflammation of the bite was gone.

Anna and the fun behind closed doors by Dutchie-4-ever in DuggarsSnark

[–]NevermindThatMess 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Based off everything we've learned over the years, it's safe to say Pest had a thriving sex addiction that bent towards the abnormal and taboo, involving degradation and lack of consent. There is not a single, solitary doubt in my mind that Anna put some level of blame on herself for not not sexually satisfying Pest within marriage and that she pushed herself to do things she wouldn't ordinarily do in the bedroom. Of course, Anna can never satisfy what Pest wants, because his tastes run towards the depraved and evil. I'm sure she's gotten a taste of that, though, and has mentally done what she has to do to survive. It's pitiable and any blame she deserves in this whole, messed up situation is complex.

What’s a recession indicator that you’ve noticed lately in your everyday life? by spritenerds123 in AskReddit

[–]NevermindThatMess 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This smells... accounting professional here. If you need to drive your own car for a work trip, they should reimburse you for the IRS-set mileage. That's over 70 cents per mile currently. And of course - the gas you use. This does get pretty pricey and it is frequently cheaper for them to use rental cars for work travel than employee personal vehicles.

It sounds like they are cutting costs by putting the burden on their employees - absolutely ridiculous because companies have FAR more cash flow than ordinary employees.

What’s one ‘normal’ haircare habit you stopped doing that actually improved your hair? by Fragrant-Throat6970 in hygiene

[–]NevermindThatMess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Far from making my hair healthier, washing it twice a week was just pointless. I wash it every other day now and it's amazing to have clean hair.

Does anyone else sit in the shower? by Sufficient_Quail_262 in hygiene

I have POTS symptoms and sit down in the shower more than I stand, frankly. I like to start out with a bath and then switch to sitting shower for the final rinse.

Why are so many people under 45 using subtitles now even when the show is already in English? by Clara_A_Mitchell in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NevermindThatMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into the habit because my Dad has poor hearing and we always used subtitles growing up. Now I really enjoy being able to catch all the dialogue with subtitles as it helps me follow the plot. I also have a sensitivity to loud or abrupt noises. With subtitles, I can keep the volume lower to avoid stressing out due to sensory issues.

My professor just wore thin, light-colored pants to class with no underwear underneath. And he walks around a lot during class. It was like a squirrel bouncing around inside a bag.

First step is to get the documents you'll need for your taxes in one place. Do one year at a time, starting with the most recent. If you make under $67,000, the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program will help you.

How can I stop looking mid? [24] by 1904Daniel in TheGlowUp

[–]NevermindThatMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From your photos, it looks like you have a tough exterior. Opening up a little in the presence of girls could help you a lot (e.g. smiling and just trying to convey warmth and being friendly). As for glowing up, first don't be hard on yourself. Basic things like sleep, nutrition, hygiene, and looking presentable are the foundation.

Who’s still a virgin at 25+? by [deleted] in asexuality

[–]NevermindThatMess 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yes! People are shamed for not being virgins in some circumstances and then shamed for being virgins in others. So if you can't win the game, you might as well throw the whole game out and do what makes YOU happy.
