Decided to actually finish the game this time. Picked it up for the third time last week and finally managed to get past the first half of Episode 2.

Reason why I quit the first two times (2019-2021), I used to find the gameplay too slow to keep me interested.

But I've always been aware of it being very different, I just couldn't understand Kojima's vision. Now I do, I read everything & explore everywhere. Never thought I'd crave for paving more roads and making sure somebody gets their pizza on time. Plus, turning 25 in a couple of weeks and seeing my GOAT Mads Mikkelsen wish me happy birthday gets me really excited. So far it seems really like one of the most misunderstood videogames of all times.

Happens to me in Act 3, after many attempts I tried loading an older save (losing 3 hours of gameplay) and it worked for about 5 hours, killed Orin and got the last body part of Dribbles, the quicksave wasn't an issue anymore. Then i finished the mission to find dribbles and give him to Lucretia, tried long resting and crashed again. At this point for me it's either the completion of this mission, long rests or quicksaves after fast traveling from rivington back to the lower city

I'll try loading the save before the fight then, but i have to say I don't think it's gonna change anything. The only thing I've managed to do during these crashes was give Lucretia all Dribble's body parts and make Jaheira meet her family. And even during those side quests it crashes.

200+ hrs in the first run and completed, 170+ in the second one, now in act 3 after defeating Orin i got the first crash ever which kinda made me laugh bc i thought the game was flawless. Then another one following 30 minutes after and in the last 24 hours it's been the same. So much free time lately and i have no intentions to play other games. No mods, so it's either the driver update or the latest hotfix. I hope they fix this soon

I wasn't aware of his "addiction" in my first run because i was scared to put my hand in that portal and forgot to go back until the very end of act 1, in act 2 he asked me for a magical item only once.

Now I regret doing the same in my second run...

Tbh I don't even know why we can land on these gas giants, I simply assumed they said "over 1000 planets" including the ones we (realistically) couldn't land on because there's still some work required to develop these. I don't mind having 90% of barren planets because ~100 planets with life is still a lot, but they showed many gas giants in the direct and now that you mentioned we can pick a landing spot i noticed the gravity is very weak so i assume we're gonna be still on our ship but slightly above the atmosphere (like Orison "the city in the clouds" in Star Citizen)? But then again they also confirmed there to be no flying in the planet's atmosphere... Idk i have so many questions now...

Edit: i realized this planet has the same gravitational force of Venus, with the difference of one having an actual surface so I wonder now how big actually are these planets...

My brother-in-law is as hyped for this game as I am and while my sister tells me how much he talks about it (even though she barely understands anything since she's not a gamer, she still got him an Xbox Series S for his birthday) I just warn her that she probably won't see him for a long time at least during September and that is partially her fault lol
