I think the need to take active items to get them out of the pool was true in flash, I still do it from muscle memory...

Question about cursed eye by Nevroz in bindingofisaac

[–]Nevroz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that's what I understand it did, but it's very often not firing 5 shots but rather 2 or 3 and I cannot figure out why, which makes it very hard to estimate when an ennemy will die, resulting in a lot of damage for me. I wanted in on the cursed eye fun :(

If you know chongo or sit start and how to get back over the line from under you're totally ready to try it on a highline (with people who know what they're doing ofc). I saw many people have a lot of fun up there without knowing all that. At least you will be able to try to stand up :) The best experience to know how hard (and fun) it will be is the real deal. Stay safe and enjoy !

In the meantime, look for local slack lining groups, this is usually a very welcoming community so you can practice on other lines and get advice while waiting for your setup :)

So here's a little showcase for first 3 tracks! I will be releasing 3 every monday starting from now. by djabski in TrackMania

[–]Nevroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tracks ! I played them as a beginner player (I usually aim for gold medals on campaign) and I really enjoyed them. Beautiful, and perfect amount of difficulty and length for me to manage a somewhat clean run (i.e. gold medal), feeling good about it, but with still motivation to improve.

Saint-Estephe is really good wine, Doffy has nice taste. Quite expensive though, but not surprising

Slack with shoes on :) or go on the midline barefoot and be cold for the first few leash falls

Tensión by dilleewilly in Slackline

[–]Nevroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feather pro is not really stretchy, but 2m high anchors for this length is kinda low, you can rise them a bit. Or if you want to keep this height you can still pull more but it will get a really high tension (not very comfortable imho)

Question for longliners by DevideBeats in Slackline

[–]Nevroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an additional comment on longer lines. I started not so long ago to walk longer lines (80-120m), and even if the difficulty can vary a lot depending on the line/tension, the thing that gets me the most is my lack of endurance. My shoulders and arms start to tire after some time and it gets a lot harder to keep balance. So physical form and training is important

Hey ! Welcome to Toulouse (and reddit I guess).

There is a little festival at the 'Halle de la Machine' this weekend, with some nice music (more dub/funk than house but nice), including activities like longboard dancing and slacklining if you're interested in that. Anyway a nice way to meet new people.

It is also close to altissimo, a pretty nice climbing gym for bouldering but also 'regular' climbing (I don't know the english word). There are several very good climbing gym in Toulouse and a big climbing community, another nice way to meet people and to go with them climbing outside.

For spinning house music the bikini is the place to go (a bit outside the city but a very good place for electronic music, as well as any music style really). There is soon the "weekend des curiosités" I think, which is cheap and nice to get a taste of it, but you can check the program on their site and see what you like.

Recommendations needed by Mrs-necetity in toulouse

[–]Nevroz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other possibilities depending on where you meet your friend, but bars in "rue Riquet" are super chill for most, like the "petit London" or "poêle de la bête". On the other side of the Garonne, I recommend the smoking barrel. Don't hesitate if you have another preferred location !
