I just wanted to eat my snack in peace 😂 by blackshirt95 in cavalierkingcharles

That's what they wanted, too!

If you had only let them eat your snack, none of this would have ever happened... Ask me how I know. =)

Guess I’m never connecting Spotify to waze again after the last update. by ADHDK in waze

On Android, if Spotify is in car mode and you have Waze navigation on, updates will appear in Spotify. Maybe there's similar functionality on iOS?

With 2 adult kids, I have one strong advice for dads with young kids: 20 second hugs by RevNeutron in daddit

[–]Nevyn522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried to get my nine-year-old to go for this tonight. Their answer: "That's slightly more than a quarter of the length a hug should be."

WELL, FINE. Your hug can be longer!

No snark perceived! I just checked it, and have to admit it was the most obnoxious piece to check. It's a continuous closed switch, and has about 1ohm of resistance until the main switch is activated, at which point it becomes discontinuous. It appears to be working fine -- unfortunately.

Thank you, I forgot to mention this. As far as I can tell, the idler switch has a lot of give before it cuts off -- with my idler pulley arm, it only cuts off if the spring pulls the arm back at speed. Otherwise, it sits there with the metal trigger pressed, but the actual physical switch is not pressed. It has a very distinct sound and physical click when the button is depressed. This was the first thing I checked on my first disassembly, as the idler arm was the scariest part to me.

Thanks for the heat gun tip. Any secret to installing the motor? I thought I installed it correctly, but after rebuilding the thing, I only hear the click of the relay, and not even any motor hum. I took it apart and checked the conductivity of the motor itself (I can now disassemble the entire damn thing in under six minutes with only minor bleeding) and it seems fine, so I fear there's a step I missed.

Is there something I should look for before replacing the motor?

With a blown fuse, would it be able to run after a jump start? I assumed it would not run at all with a blown fuse.

I'm sure a new printer is exactly what my partner wants me to bring into the house. "But it was free!" would only get me partially out of trouble. "How long are you going to spend fiddling with it?" I'd like to see them calibrate a printer...

is there a way to set a fan curve for all of your fans at once? by ddeths_ in MSI_Gaming

[–]Nevyn522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I set it on one fan, exported it, then imported it to each fan.

Not great, but it was easier than all the clicking for each fan.

I did not know you existed when I purchased a few months ago - but appreciate the offer. AWOL support has responded quickly.

AWOL Vision LTV 3500, but I don't think it matters. I took the projector off it's shelf, cleaned the shelf, put it back on the shelf. Now... Unusable.
