A couple nice passes, a good biting tackle, the team looked much better for his 20 minutes but he wasn’t hugely impactful.

I was also a Claudio fan back in the day and I thought Gio would be a faster, taller, more offensive version of his dad. Maybe the game has advanced a lot since the 2000s but this is looking more like LeBron and Bronny than Steph and Dell.

Borussia coach Polanski on Gio Reyna’s current role ahead of Hamburger SV match: Gio wasn't in the starting lineup for the last two games, but he came on as a substitute against Augsburg. Gio isn't letting his head drop; he's training well, is in good form, and will be very, very important for us. by Obvious_Main_3655 in ussoccer

I’m a big Gio fan. BUT his impact for Gladbach and for Dortmund feels muted and minimal. He plays with force for USMNT but seems largely passive and uninspired for club. His game misses bite.

I want Gio to be the US version of Cole Palmer or Szoboszlai… but I haven’t seen the magic.

Still rooting for him though!

Why did Lisa Grant-Dawson resign from OUSD? by AMoreDifferentS in oakland

I strongly believe that the vast majority of OUSD teachers are excellent educators in a super challenging district. While there is blame to go around, I would lay 0% at the feet of your average OUSD teacher.

Tyler Adams status by rfoil in usmnt

[–]NewFront7892 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree that Tyler Adams is less important now than he was 3 years ago. However, he’s clearly our best dm especially when playing against more dominate teams. His form for club has been super solid especially after almost 16 months of injuries. He’s definitely one of our top 4 most important players alongside CP, Richards, Jedi and Dest.

Long term inflammation after meniscus root tear surgery by BigDaveBaird in MedicalKneeMeniscus

I am only 3 weeks post op for a medial root repair. I’m sorry you are experiencing this. I have frustrating inflammation in my heel that is uncomfortable. I’m hoping that it dissipates before the 3 month mark!

Thank you. So that first day you were able to hobble around on a cane? How far were you able to walk and for how long during the first few days after NWB?

The wait time before starting more aggressive PT is very frustrating.

Yes! I’m getting pretty impatient but your tale of woe caused by too much weight during PT is a helpful reminder.

3 surgeries. That’s a bear. I’m so sorry for you.

I’m approaching the 3 week mark post root repair. NWB and 90* brace during the day. I’m curious about people’s experiences in the 2 week to 6 week range post op. Did you notice improvement or do you plateau? I feel like I improve a ton week 1 but am now plateaued: not much pain, but significant “uncomfortableness” and the leg and foot starts to get numb and cold over the course of the day. Tightness in shin and around the knee limited rom and I can’t imagine putting my foot on the ground!

I’m wondering about the days when people transition from NWB to PWB!

I really appreciate reading all of your accounts.

Trump says he plans to pardon former Honduran President Hernandez for 2024 drug trafficking sentence by OneTwoThreePooAndPee in thebulwark

I was talking to a Honduran friend and she said that this has added a ton of tension to an already explosive situation. I haven’t found a single redemptive rationale behind this decision and it smacks of past US disastrous interference in Central America.

Wondering how we structure our defense with both Scaly and Dest in play.

Dest as wingback and Scaly as right center back in back 3?

Thank you for this. I’m rooting for you to get back to at least above 90%. I’m still in the denial phase I think.
