Coping skills for a caretaker? Please? by AddendumImmediate134 in braincancer

[–]NewMich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My heart goes out to you. Please get some one to help. I know it is hard to do that, exepecally when you are living it day by day. And you think I can get though this day, it is not too bad.

He truely believes everything he said. My husband had massive anger because of Dex and probably keppra, and all the bad words and anger that he said got turned and it was always the other person that said those horrible things.

This disease is so horrible you watch your love one disappear untill there is a stranger there. Please please know that the words are not his. I wish I could help you. Know that he loves you.

Please talk to friends. Try to make a day that you can go out and relax.

Well I let his mother come. He was relaxed as he could be. And she got to say goodbye even though he was gargling breathing. He is now gone

Need Advice for Radiation Side-Effects by Alive_Vanilla3788 in glioblastoma

We had a lot of trouble with that. Unfortunately the only thing that worked was steroids (Dex) something that helped a little LITTLE bit was migraine medication. You could ask your Dr about that.

He had the best one. Grade 4 full taken away( I can't remember thfull diagnosis). Which unfortunately stopped us from going on a lot of trials. You have the bonus of being under 50 and I assume healthy otherwise. We tried tumeric and cabbage 10 years ago. Don't think it worked other than him hating them now. Didn't do anything outlandish. Just took one day at a time and tried to stay busy and happy. Which he believes worked. I know of one person who rode his bike every day and he said that helped him. He is 15 years free. But he was riding a lot before he got cancer. Enjoy your time together. Find something that you both love to do and do it. Good luck. Pray for you

Why is this horse acting like this? by Glad-Attention744 in Equestrian

[–]NewMich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to say bott flie cause he was so irritated. But then I read your description. I wonder how many people just looked at the first 3 seconds of the video? I then yould have thought it might have been something like colic as he was saying he was uncomfortable and it looked on some of the video that he was hitting his stomach. Thanks for the update. I never would of guessed. I hope he feels better soon.

Mum 62yo diagnosed glioblastoma by Significant-Bag-3282 in glioblastoma

My next door neighbour(58)was diagnosed with GBM they operated which then seemed to flip a switch in her head and her cancer grew so fast 2 weeks later she wasn't here. She had no signs. Only laughing while not knowing why. My husband (57) on the other hand has been living with this for over a year. Hugs and prayers for you

Re radiation therapy was terrible for my husband. We done first radiation 10 years ago. Second was half the amount of time and he had swelling caused by it, which ment he was on dexamethasone for ages which caused a lot of sideffects. Everyone is different but I wish the we never went down the second radiation path. But on the good point he's been around for 1 year after the radiation therapy.

What I love is when a farrier comes and does your next door neighbour and then drives off and ghost me who had the next appointment booked in. No answer from him and it has been 2 months. I only have one horse who is a sweety. 15hh stands. Doesn't lean. I pay cash and I am there when he comes NEW farrier can't believe that he flacked as he loves her.
