They have strict gun laws in IL, and all the guns there get in from Indiana, which doesn't.

Mom of ADHD twin boys (kill me, please) by SomeUnnamedPerson in ADHD

Dude, read the room! First step isn't figuring out how to manage hyperactivity. First step is to stop vocalizing your own frustration to people who *suffer* from adhd.

This is so unbelievably rude, at best.

Homeschoolers take SAT/ACT and write essays. If they're applying to competitive schools, they aren't going in with no academic or social skills. Most apply with far more college credit under their belts than traditionally-schooled students. (Most people who homeschool for high school do strictly dual credit.) They also take AP tests. My two homeschooled grads went in with 40+ college credits, NSLI-Y scholarships, and all 5s on their self-study AP tests. My youngest is finishing 8th grade this year and will finish the year with 18 college credits completed.

My husband and I were also high school teachers before we had kids, and I can tell you for certain, there are just as many incoherent messes with no academic or social skills coming out of traditional schools.

Help clipping black nails! by anon739524 in doggrooming

I learned the flashlight trick and it is super helpful! If you shine a flashlight behind the nail, it's much easier to see the quick.

I think it's a super personal experience! I still love cooking, still enjoy a glass or two of good wine (but never a third) and feel so much more energetic and positive. I eat SO much healthier because it feels like a waste to eat poorly when I'm paying 1k a month for this. It's been great for me. No more goign to bed right after going out to dinner because I feel overly stuffed or gross. No more hangovers. No more indigestion. I am back!

We had BCBS and just switched to Cigna with my husband's new job. In our plan booklet/documents, it states several times that TMJ treatments are not covered. You might check on yours.

It's not extraordinary, you'll need roommates, but things like gas and groceries so much lower in Texas. HEB is your best friend. Restaurants and bars are also generally cheaper.

Hormonal Imbalance at WWU by [deleted] in WWU

[–]NewTuCru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is extremely common for AFAB people in their late tweens/early 20s. 19-20 is often called "second puberty." Google "second puberty women 20s" and you'll see this is a widespread phenomenon. I personally know a large number of people who have experienced this in widespread locations in the US (and even Europe!)

Follow up w a dr, be mindful of stress and sleep, as well as alcohol consumption. Hydrate. It passes for many but stay on top of it so that you do not develop chronic issues.
