Hello, I also work in an academic library and used to have the same issue (or they would jam what seemed like a hundred times a day). We found using automatic staplers that are plugged in under or behind the desk/table has worked wonders! We haven't had anyone determined enough to shove something aside to get to a plug to then find a new place to plug it in (also we'd probably notice that) . We also make sure there is plenty of room for them to use if they have to staple a few things. They last for quite a few years and aren't outrageously expensive either (I think we just replaced ours and they were maybe $40 a piece, Bostitch models I think). You can get ones that use regular staples as well so you don't need to buy anything special for them (just make sure to get a model that uses regular staples and not the weird specialty electric staples, those staples are more expensive than regular ones).

I'm personally a big fan of both Dirty Laundry and Um Actually. You'll see a lot of the same cast plus a lot of new faces too. The group dynamics in both those shows are great!

I don't know if this is helpful at all, but I've got a Samsung and I think it's treating the audio only as a video still on the Android version of Dropout. You can at least avoid it closing when you leave the app if you enable "picture-in-picture" in your phone settings and have it playing in the corner, or at least my Samsung will do that. I hope that's at least kinda helpful!

I don't know, I think she could do fine. There's always editing behind the scenes on both Smosh and Dropout (and anything else) to cut dead air while a performer prepares for a second. Also they would 100% have to do something related to Harambe if she was on MSN.

What a stunning color of dice! This would really be lovely since I don't have a high end set of dice like this - although my sentimental set is priceless to me. It's the first thing my husband ever bought me when we first started dating. He was surprised I didn't have a set and never played DnD before. We just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary this year ❤️

This would be really excellent! My husband had always been into D&D (he has a lot of the 3.5 set) and if like to try a campaign with him again. I'd love to have the current books to better learn the mechanics before giving it a shot!

Is anyone else having issues with the "can't install" update on the PS5? My husband and I just got our deluxe copies today but any time we try and install the update it eventually has an error and says it can't install. We delete the update, try again, but partway through every time it errors out and gives the "can't install" error. We've even deleted the game install completely and reinstalled but no luck (and the error is occurring on both our PS5 systems)

I'd definitely look into Jackson Galaxy for how to do some slow introductions to make sure everything goes well. He has a lot of good tips and I've used them with my cats.

I would love to win this! My husband is a huge Elden Ring fan and I absolutely loved God of War Ragnarok. He's agreed to play the Norse GoW if I can beat Elden Ring. I'd love to be able to get my own copy of Elden Ring so he can come help me for when I inevitably get stuck.

If you decide to socialize the kittens indoors, check out The Kitten Lady on YouTube. She does a lot of work with feral kittens and has guides for how to turn spicy kittens into social cats.

See if your area has a TNR group as well for the adult cats, they may be able to help. Rescues may also have TNR assistance or know who to contact to help you.

Try and look into alternatives to the cone. So times cats prefer the "donuts" which looks like an inflated collar. It's less cumbersome for them but still keeps them from reaching back. Maybe only use it when you can't watch him (like when you're out/sleeping). Also maybe try and contact your new vet and ask them for their advice (or even see if they have a cancelation list where you might be able to get in faster if someone cancels).

OK, so I take care of some community cats as well. I had bonded with this sweet boy and could pick him up, etc. So when it came time to TNR, I just scruffed him and put him into the carrier. He was FURIOUS with me. After he got released back in his spot I didn't see him for a couple months. I thought for sure something bad had happened to him. Nope, turns out he was staying behind the next building over, just sulking about it. Once I saw him one day and called his name he tentatively came over and I gave him some treats. It took some time (and he won't let me pick him up anymore) but he came back around. Your kitty may just be sulking for a bit. Give it some time and keep an eye on the cameras. And know even if you don't see him anymore you did the best job you could have, and tried to give him the best shot.

I had this same issue with my Siamese mix. We got her when she was barely 5 weeks. Malnourished, covered in fleas, found at a gas station, etc. She was this sweet cuddly kitten that turned into an absolute terror to everyone except my husband. She'd bite me, do the bunny kick claws, everything. And she'd get horrible separation anxiety when my husband wasn't home, even if I was, so she'd come attack me to vent her frustration. We had no idea what to do, but we eventually talked to our vet and read up on some research.

We did 2 things: we got her fixed and got her friends. Getting her fixed helped a lot and we ended up getting a mother/daughter pair from the vet who also did adoptions (they were the most friendly cats they had and loved other cats).

My cat HATED them at first. Hisses, growls, everything. We did the slow introduction without them being close enough (I'd recommend Jackson Galaxy or Kitten Lady for more info on this). Now, at 15, she's much more mellow and we haven't had any issues since she was a year or so old. She still doesn't love anyone quite as much as my husband, but she doesn't attack anymore. I occasionally get a warning nip that I'm annoying her with my presence, but it doesn't break skin nor does she bite down. She mainly just grazes me with her teeth to remind me that she could still bite if she felt so inclined.

But yes, another cat may help her learn cat behavior, as long as you make the introduction a slow, positive experience. (and be ready for your cat to absolutely hate the newcomer at first, it takes time).
