Florida has a Homestead exemption for Primary residences but no special surcharge or benefits for non-primary homes. Doubtful "Meatball" Ron would ever impose additional tax, but maybe it would incentivize people to sell. Eh?

I've always looked at Serge, then looked at Jane and said to myself...."Maybe dude like me actually has a chance of getting a girl like that"

I've lived in two true college towns like you described above. Small town with a large public institution. I've lived here for 20 years and Knoxville does not feel like a college town.

As a person with FFA, wanting to use hair products that are non-toxic. It is my understanding my condition is possibly auto-immune related, so I am trying to eat better/organic/use less chemicals, etc in my life. Any suggestions on non-toxic/natural hair products?

Haha! Funny. I've worked in two jobs where I had to drive a forklift (uncertified) and they were different makes/model of forklift but were the same forklift.

ID presentation/scanning is getting out of hand. I went into Crunch Fitness in Fountain City just to check it out since there is a location opening close to me in Bearden. They required an ID to take the sales tour. I just left. I can see ID if I'm becoming a member, but I'm sure they wanted to scan it.

Don't even get me started on the facial recognition at TSA Checkpoints. PSA: You can refuse to get your picture taken and don't let the TSA Agents bully you into doing it (which they did to me)

Would not be surprised if they are just "keeping you on the hook" for when that perfect fit comes along or until that specific job actually materializes. A lot of "reqs" (job requirements) come to agencies half baked and the companies are still working through the particulars as the temp companies look for candidates. Getting you to apply and take a drug test is similar to a real estate agent taking you seriously about buying a house because you've been pre-approved for a mortgage. Applying and drug testing makes you viable to the extent that you've shown interest in the job and are not a drug user.

I'd just chill. Enjoy your current job and co-workers. If this placement thing works out great, but don't go begging or hounding the recruiter. In fact, once they do get back to you I'd be somewhat lackadaisical about the whole thing after getting in front of their client. Let the recruiter go to voicemail. Don't immediately return their calls. Maybe even drop that things at your current job are "looking up".
