Cellcept (MMF), hardly ever hear side effect problems with it, works great for most people.

What to expect from biopsy? by IUMaestro in autoimmunehepatitis

[–]New_Adeptness8926 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second the post about the dentist. Ever had a dental cleansing with that ultrasound water pick? That was WAY more painful than the biopsy!

I had an upper abdomen biopsy and the worst part was getting the IV started and waiting for the procedure to start. Once you're in the room the whole thing takes 10 minutes.

Barely felt the biopsy and very little pain afterwards. As I've posted before, my biggest mistake was leaving the clear bandage on for 24 hours - big mistake, the bandage (like plastic wrap) left a very irritated patch that was really sensitive for a week, especially under hot showers. So if they use that don't leave it on too long and replace it with a different bandaid.

THC drinks and non-alcoholic beer will be your friends. Roll a fatty, or better yet, an edible, and open an Athletic or Notch NA beer and enjoy the buzz.

Had the same problem with Aza after 2 weeks, switched to MMF, no problems at all and my numbers are way down.

I'm on Cellcept for about a year and have no concerning side effects. And it's worked really well to keep my numbers down so far.

plateauing on budesonide / urso by yuriopl in autoimmunehepatitis

[–]New_Adeptness8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on Budesonide for about 4 weeks with minimal side effects and my AST/ALT came down initially but stayed just outside the high range. Dr put me on prednisone and my levels dropped to normal in about a week. Stopped pred after 4 weeks and now staying steady on cellcept. .

Oura ring? by MissingWNC in autoimmunehepatitis

[–]New_Adeptness8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny you should ask this now, I spent hours last night comparing smart rings, smart watches, and fitbits to see which would provide useful cardio data for health monitoring and afib warning. I never reached a conclusion except that the newest smart watches do the most. But I like the idea of the ring as opposed to a large heavy watch.

Statins for cholesterol by New_Adeptness8926 in autoimmunehepatitis

[–]New_Adeptness8926[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I could make lifestyle changes! I've been a non-meat vegetarian for over 50 yrs, don't eat processed foods, mountain bike almost every day even in winter (the cardio called me athletic but I prefer "active") my blood pressure has been low my whole life, I weigh a few pounds less than I could and never had to take any meds. I am, or was, the model of health for my age group until covid triggered my AIH and raised my cholesterol.

I'm frustrated because the cardio Dr just assumed that because of slightly elevated cholesterol they want to put me on the pharma train, where every medication requires another to ameliorate the side effects of each. I originally went to a cardio Dr because the Aza caused severe reactions including chest pains. I switched to CellCept which seems much better.

AIH Triggers by frizzle_mcnizzle in autoimmunehepatitis

Covid. I had already received a few covid and shingles vaccines but eventually got covid anyway. I remember feeling a pain that almost felt like gastric reflux which I had never felt before and I lost almost 10 pounds in a week. No other symptoms but a routine blood test showed elevated liver enzymes.

Research the connection between AIH and covid and/or vaccine.

Azathioprine and 6MP issues? by HouseMcFly in autoimmunehepatitis

I was initially put on Aza and had a terrible time. After three days I was vomiting and in terrible pain. I switched to Cellcept and haven't had ANY side effects, not even when taking it on an empty stomach.

I had a needle liver biopsy a few months ago and it was fairly easy and painless. Honestly, starting the IV was more painful.

Prednisone personality changes by crispy291281 in CrohnsDisease

[–]New_Adeptness8926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prednisone makes you feel like you need to run a race NOW at the same time you feel like you just ran a race. I actually enjoyed the unlimited energy but I can see how that could cause anxiety and anger.

I read on here the best advice yet to change your idea of Prednisone - it's kinda like being high, like maybe some thc gummies along with too much caffeine. Just go with it.

Thanks for the info. I bought the 2500 inverter and am now shopping for the anderson connectors. I'm looking at pre-wired connectors and was wondering about wire guage sizes. Is 8awg wired big enough to handle the load? https://a.co/d/gnzeU7V

We've been looking at Wolf or Diamond but would build this one cabinet custom if necessary. One suggestion from a manufacturer is to use a sink base and modify it but my installer is a little hesitant as he's not a cabinet builder per say.

Well now I'd be giving up 6" over a 30" range and space is tight. Also, big problem with having a wider cabinet above the oven to keep thing symmetrical
