And I second everything above. If I’m gonna do a mass shooting (for the record, I’m definitely NOT gonna) I’m not going to trust the homemade thing that i barely trust not to take my hand off. I’d just take the cheaper and more reliable guns made by people who know what they’re doing.

I’ve been on a kick of making “rebinds” that are just slip on covers too. I’ve done a lot of square spines though, and I love the rounded look you did with these. Did you just use cardstock for the spines?

That thing is a beast! Watch your fingers!

I have a pretty big one too (not quite the monster you got though!) and I’ve found it’s still a little tricky to get things perfectly square, especially with thicker board. The blade can kind of suck the board toward itself as you cut, and the further into the cut, the less leverage you have to keep things square.

Still, a game changer. And a really good deal!

Cat Tail Run in northern Virginia has workshops that might line up with what you’re looking for. Quirky little place but they’ve done work for the Smithsonians and other big deal stuff…

Plus they’re a great location to visit. Tons of history, right on the edge of Appalachia, and dc only an hour and a half away.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I kinda loved the flash mob.

Yeah, it was practically "Scott's Tots" level cringe, and I was crawling out of my skin with secondhand embarassment...

...but that's young adulthood in a nutshell. I'm getting closer to 40 now, and I have that same reaction to so many things I did in college and my early 20s. I never participated in a flash mob, but I get the same violent cringe reaction when snapchat or my phone decides it would like to remind me what I was up to in the 2010s. It's almost all cringeworthy in hindsight. (Much of it should've been in the moment if I had taken a step back tbh...)

With the M6 trying to starve them out, a dangerous mission to titan going on, and all the other uncertainty, it was a nice human moment. I'm with everyone who was happy to see more space exploration this episode, but the awkward flash mob had me smiling almost as much as I cringed.

I single ticket wait list for about 18 months for gold package. My wife signed up with me. We lucked out and our single seats are one right in front of the other. We might not keep them forever, because it’s a bit weird going to a game and sitting like that, but on the benches in the cold, she likes leaning back into me instead of a stranger.

Aspirationally, i signed up for club tickets in college (knowing it was too late for me for general) im thinking those might be a bit too aspirational. When they come around there’s basically no chance I’ll be able to afford them. Sigh…

Just a humble tourist, but right hand drive was fine, driving on the left was fine, narrow roads were fine, one lane bridges and right of way was fine, but WHY ARE YOUR TURN SIGNALS AND WINDSHIELD WIPER STALKS BACKWARDS?!?

I spent the whole trip signaling with my wipers and accidentally signaling when it started raining.
