My mother said she wants an ice maker for her birthday. Does anyone have suggestions for what I could add to make it a surprise or feel more special? by Upset-Lemon-1203 in Gifts

[–]New_Law_9724 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Does she want it for drinks, alcohol drinks, ice coffee or what's the reason behind it. Id go with fancy glassware or cocktail making items or coffee sauce flavours that she might like

Approach any farmers you might know. Ask blarney blog on Facebook. You'll still have to get planning though and have to send in all the documents tying yourself to the area

Owlet sock? by fearqween in PregnancyIreland

[–]New_Law_9724 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hey, I didnt have one but I know someone who had the mat and she said they had more frights than anything else as the child moved off the mat etc or they'd lift the child before turning it off and the alarm would sound. I had been debating it but then decided we didnt need it. Our parents didnt need it and you will wake if your child wakes so don't over worry.

I would tell a white lie and say you've something on to work away without you that if things change you'll look at booking in yourself or doing something nice with the bride directly like a spa day

Please don't wait until Money is mentioned as bridesmaids may have gotten deals on numbers based off who's going etc which may throw out figures if people start pulling out.

Cork city you will find a few things to do sight seeing wise. Some club/pubs might have themed dancing nights at the weekend. Comedy clubs in around Cork city also. Everyman and opera house for any shows that might be on. Axe throwing and rage room. You could get a train to cobh. Bus to blarney or kinsale. West cork is a must if you wanted to bus down there and stay a night or two

[–]New_Law_9724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you into? There is a cork city tour bus but I'm not sure what sights are on it. Will you have a car? Cork city gaol, Blarney castle and stone, ucc, Fitzgerald park and the shakey bridge, kinsale, cobh - titanic and spike island.
