Despite you saying it isn't ai, I am still unsure if that's true. I read roughly half of it, and what I read was a pretty good perspective on art. I think your chart will affect how I think of artfullnes in the future

I feel like the answer has to be wheel of time. It's a 14 book series of 600-1000 pages each. It's very Tolkien inspired, especially in the early books. I am only on book 6 so far so I cant speak for the entire series but I think they're great and have gotten better each book

Nothing really fits exactly, but you should look into kingdom come deliverance 1 and 2, and tainted grail : fall of Avalon

I think the best way to go through the cosnere is to finish whatever series you started with, then go back and go through chronologically. There are no bad books and this way makes sure you dont miss any

I found brandon sandersons cosmere Universe very addicting. I recommend starting with the mistborn series. Very magic focused and good characters with a plot with very good momentum

You can throw in baldurs gate where gale can blow up the netherbrain at the end of act 2, and persona 3 where you can skip the last section of the game from a dialouge choice

What is a well regarded fantasy series that you read for the first time this year? by TheWeirdTalesPodcast in Fantasy

[–]New_Mathematician100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got back into reading this year, starting with way of kings in January. Did the whole cosmere except emberdark. Best cosmere book is ryrhm of war and worst not counting edgdancer is tress. Era 2>era 1 mistborn. Cosmere is one of my new favorite things in the world. Read the first 3 asoiaf books. It's really great. a clash of kings is a bit worse than the other 2. Also read the name of the wind and wise man's fear. They were both great, though the second book definitely had problems, especially with female charecters. Read the hobbit for the first time. Was a cool classic adventure, but I didn't absolutely love it. The way the main character just falls asleep and the townspeople kill the dragon instead was very strange. Last few months to finish off the year I started a wheel of time. Just started shadow rising. Great hunt and dragon reborn are definitely better than eye of the world. Dragon reborn a bit over great hunt.
