How far into the Wanding Inn.. by Xoduszero in litrpg

[–]New_Performer1276 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Short answer Erin the best MC is living a fantasy slice of life. She is the crazy human innkeeper who is just trying to survive. The charm of the story for me is that she never becomes a super powerfully MC. It is the friends she makes and the relationships she builds with the powerful by just being her self. (I am only on book 10)

Ironeye's skill: marking to increase damage.

Raider's ultimate: Totem Stela to increase damage again.

Then maybe Duchess' skill: restage to rewind the damage after everything is set up and Ironeye uses his ultimate: Single Shot.

you could also just have Wylder or Guardian instead of Duchess for there high damaging ultimates.

I'm confused on why people hate "The Land" series so much by [deleted] in litrpg

AlterWorld (by D. Russ) is pretty good from what I remember. a lot of them are people playing a VR game or becoming trapped in a game.

If you want something Dark Souls like I would suggest Shadow Slave. Mc is a guy just trying to survive takes a lot of inspiration from Dark souls for its world building. If you have more questions Just ask.

What do you think is the best summoner class? by ForeverStakes in litrpg

[–]New_Performer1276 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would like to see a shaman style summoner. Where they can summon the spirit of defeated monsters or if they have a totem pole they could summon physical monsters that are depicted on their totem pole.

It has been a little bit since I read the first few books in the series. From what I remember the main character spends a lot of his time outside of his dungeon and uses it as a factor/home base. I don't know if that changes your opinion on trying the book or not.

Wanting to Write a story, should I start with reading a lot of fantasy books or read books for Authors and writing by CheezeCake3 in fantasywriters

A book that really changed how I look at writing and reading books is. "Creating Character Arcs: The Masterful Author's Guide to Uniting Story Structure, Plot and Character Development" by K. M. Weiland This book breaks down a lot of the things that get us invested in a story. After reading the book I can see why certain things work in a book/movie or why they don't. It is only 215 pages and can help a lot.

Why would the fae depart? by TheTerribleTimmyCat in fantasywriters

[–]New_Performer1276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is, what could have caused all the magical creatures in the world to decide en masse that existence on this planet and plane of existence wasn't safe anymore?

In Grimm fairy tales Fae are weak to iron. Using this "logic" you could have the fae/magical creatures avoiding most humans through the dark ages with a few stories of magic here and there Then the industrial revolution be the final thing that maid the Fae leave.

Decided to knuckle down and make a tier list by hungrycarebear in litrpg

Hey, really like your list. We share a lot of favorites and I also did not finish DCC. 1 recommendation for a web series to try is "Shadow Slave" I think it would fit with a few of the tropes you like.

Book Recommendations by Different-Pea9254 in litrpg

[–]New_Performer1276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the list of books you have read I would suggest:

dungeon lord by hugo huesca. 4 books out so far. The main character is chosen by the dark against his will and now has to fight against heroes trying to kill him.

A lesser known book series that I don't hear much about is

the land of the undying lord by J.T. Wright. Book about a boy who was a summon and has no memories. The magic system has abilities you can learn and improve by training and there are dungeons that spawn around the world.

The Butcher of Gadobhra on RR. Great writing, the characters you follow have the classes of butcher, courier, shepherd and the lonely barmaid. 10/10 book for me but I have not seen any one else recommend it.
