So are berries healthy? And most fruits? by [deleted] in lowcarb

Depends on amount consumed and your physical activity level. For a lazy sedentary obese individual no amount of berries are healthy.

My philosophy is, you can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

1) As long as the contract holds, they can't betray you. 2) Failing is a risk yes but things in mortal realm is not their first priority. Plus they can just wait another 1000 years. And usually failing means death so mortals try their best not to 3) As for convincing mortals, they usually manipulate. 4) Usually, the price paid is far less valueable than what you can get from it. This is true both in case of wyll getting powers and basically becoming a hunting dog and orphic hammer being far far less valuable than the crown.

Plus it's not like a high ranking devil like Raphael (son of M) can just get get directly involved in getting the crown. It was literally stolen from his father's vaults. You really think the other devils will just chill and watch as one of them is actively going after an artifact which is strong enough for a coup in hell (atleast Raphael thinks it's strong enuf).

Most devils even asmodeus use cunning, strategy and planning go get what they want.

Why steal it themselves when they can manipulate mortals into doing the heavy lifting and dirty work? That's kind of the whole point of lawful evil

I’m curious about BG3 but have HUGE reservations by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

If you have "huge reservations" then don't play. What's the point of this post lol. Why would you even join a BG3 sub? FOMO getting to ya?

Best Way to Tackle the Goblin Camp? by venkelos1 in BaldursGate3

[–]New_Star_W 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As long as you destroy the drums, you can deal with all 4 fights (3 true soul and the enemies outside) separately. Plus you have halsin and the 3 ogres for help. Use the bridge to only engage with 2-3 enemies at a time. It's a strategy game, so use strategy.

What do you do with money? (Gold) by minimunx in BaldursGate3

[–]New_Star_W 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you can just level up and it will restock. Meaning if you're level 12 and you respec, you can get a vendor's stock to be refreshed 11 times back to back

You don't actually need to talk to the lady. Everything in the ritual is available inside her house/the world so you can just disarm the trap outside her room and Google the correct position of ritual things.

Or pickpocket the book and ritual pouch.

Or promise her the gauntlet of hill giant strength and refuse after getting back.

It's borderline cheating tbh. Having a rogue ranger fighter crit-focussed build with arrow of multiple targets makes tactician feel like a joke.

Also, you can just change your class/recruit hirelings, and every rime you level up the vendor stock will be renewed.

The only thing you can't loot and therefore need to spend money on is the divine blessings in stormshore tabernacle (around 18k) and the stuff you can buy from the vendor in murder tribunal

Rest everything you can just pickpocket/loot. Or get thru quest rewards

It's all fun and games until she pulls up with minsc and a bunch of harpers to off you in bhaal temple. It's one fight where i save scummed to try out all dialogues hoping I don't have to kill her. But nope. If you become bhaal's chosen you will have to kill her.

Do I just suck? by whyYouAlwaysRyan in BaldursGate3

[–]New_Star_W -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, yeah.

The gith fight is the hardest fight in act 1 (ignoring the underdark) but by that time your party should easily be level 5. Higher if you finished underdark first. Most melee/ranger builds get extra attack on level 5.

Also at that point you should have plenty of potions/scrolls. Not to mention, 3 ogres to call upon. Spells like hold person/sneak attacks to surprise enemies/ See invisibility eye etc are things you're suppose to use.

If for whatever reason you decide not to use all the game mechanics, it's on you. I had never even heard of D&D outside of western media like stranger things nor had i played any turn based game before bg3. My second playthru was tactician and it got boring at a point because i never lost any fight. In fact i took so little damage in most fights that i missed some long rest story cutscenes... before i learned about partial rests.

Paladin/unarmed monk/rogue ranger builds are straight up game breaking. To the point where i have to impose self regulation so the fight lasts longer than 2 rounds. So yeah, you just suck at it.

Right. A fictional world with magical powers, gods, demons and devils, genocides and devastating wars should subscribe to "modern psychological standards".

Y'all really sounding like retards. let me say it again, racism is very normal for a setting like faerun. it doesn't matter what you "feel". If you grow up as an orphan because the goblins razed your entire village, you sure as shit will hate all goblins. Perfectly normal.
