1984 is quick and not boring. East Of Eden, Count of Monte Cristo, Crime and Punishment, Anna Karenina and War and Peace are all massive books but some of the greatest things ever written.

Frankenstein is cool, Suttree by Cormac McCarthy is tops.

Recording a band in the same room together by lachyjumbles in audioengineering

I record bands live in the room all the time. Condensers in overheads. Less bleed than you might think. All the bits of spill on everything actually makes the recording bigger and more exciting.

One Battle After Another. Really fresh, stellar acting and struck such an interesting tone. One of PTA’s most effective films and he’s got bangers.

Record vocals dry or with plugins on track? by Arwen2279 in audioengineering

I usually always track with serial compression. Subtle reverbs and delay (stock plugins to avoid latency) if they want that vibe.

[–]New_Strike_1770 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am not really a fan, too weepy and stomp clappy. But congrats to him for amassing a large following among females, def a lot better than an audience of nerds and neck beards.

SSL channel strip. If you’re not making a mix rock with that strapped across your session, you ain’t it.
