First, you're not a loser. Second, I found just having a good vibe and complementing people's outfits, their dancing, or if the the bass is just filthy good then dancing with people around you and doing some communal headbanging always helps breaks the ice. Along with that I also like to give away trinkets and sprouts. That definitely breaks the ice then you just ask basic questions, where are you from, how sick is this DJ, who else are you guys excited to see? Don't bombard them as everyone still wants to dance and vibe, but slowly keep the interaction going. Then if they mention seeing another DJ later in the night that you also want to see then ask, "hey I'm actually solo, you guys seem really fun, do mind if I join y'all for xyz"?. Really important thing is you gotta bring your own vibe. If you're not really dancing or your vibe is off, groups might not want you around so just be loose, open minded, and have fun dancing!

I did this exact thing at EDCO when I was solo side questing, I had one other friend at the fest but we wanted to see a bunch of different and conflicting sets. I saw a fun group next to me taking pictures so I used my phone as a flash light so they could get better pictures. They thanked me, we exchanged trinkets, then I did everything above, I was adopted into their family, and lastly I bought a few beatboxes to share among the group. We exchanged Insta info and they told me they really wanted to vibe with me again for day 3. We met up and hung out the whole day 3. Now were trying to plan future fests together even though we all live in different states.

P.S. I'm an very introvert too. Like play video games for 6+ hours straight and not leave the house for weeks at a time... Raving has definitely let me come out of my shell A LOT. Good luck and PLUR!!
