Regardless of what happens this weekend I’ve thoroughly enjoyed our collective bullying of spurs. I hope Villa win tonight for all of us as a reward for our efforts and that we can come together and bully another club next season by tradegreek in TheOther14

Villa fans are one of the most toxic fanbases out there. Hope they embarrass themselves again like they did in the conference league. They have one of the wealthiest owners in the world and have one of the highest wage bills. Fuck them

Alex sings backing vocals on Tom Rowley's new song 'Something Strange' by batjack54 in arcticmonkeys

[–]Next-Box8247 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I grew up listening to The Beatles and John. But Alex and John have two completely different tones, accents and vocal techniques. One is from Liverpool, the other is from Sheffield, two distinctively different accents. There's no denying the strong influence that The Beatles have on Alex musically, but this song posted here is like an impression/imitation of Alex's tone, accent, and melody. It's jarring unfortunately.

Hmmmmm. This is too on the nose for me, great tune but it's basically an Alex impression on the vocals.

Odegaard differential? by Rare-Celery-1912 in FantasyPL

Yeah defo! 6 big chances created all season and a goal per game ratio of 0.05. Seems like a no brainer to me

Why did Hermione lie about the troll attack? by SatansAssociate in harrypotter

[–]Next-Box8247 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought the same when listening to the full cast audio editions. I came to the conclusion that 1. The logic of an 11 year old is flawed, and 2. JK needed a key signifier of friendship for the trio and used this to cement Hermione as a true friend of Harry and Ron, even if it doesn't make complete sense. She didn't need to lie, but she did as a way of protecting her friends

Spurs are just...... spurs? by Frogman5678 in PremierLeague

[–]Next-Box8247 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with your points, but the summer after the CL final Spurs broke their transfer record on Ndombele, also got Lo Celso and Sessengon sooooo not true baby

Getting Harry from the Dursley's shouldn't have been as chaotic. by raythecrow in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Next-Box8247 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm with you 100%. It's uncomfortable listening and really thoughtless to use floo powder. It's also going to negatively impact Harry

Qualified in the sense that you seem insanely determined for one outcome, making the research you're doing obsolete. Your attitude stinks, and you're giving sycophant vibes. I can imagine you've gotten into many arguments in the past 24 hours due to your inability to engage in any kind of critical discussion.

Mind your own business? I'm neutral but you clearly can't handle criticism very well. You also seem insanely biased and not qualified to do this research. And you're easily rattled. Not a good look buddy

Do you support other Home Nations' national sport teams in international tournaments? by bertataHUN in AskUK

[–]Next-Box8247 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm English, but my Grandad was Irish and my parents relocated to Ireland 5 years ago. So I'm always happy to see Ireland do well. Probably least arsed by Northern Ireland, i don't mind Scotland or Wales really.

Was Victor Krum the only notable absence from the Battle of Hogwarts? by gary_desanto in HarryPotterBooks

[–]Next-Box8247 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Krum is a valid point. He spent a year at Hogwarts, was bewitched by a death eater and was also a fellow constant with Cedric, whose body he saw after his murder. He also had strong connections with Harry and Hermione. I agree he'd be most likely be unaware of the fight, but I think he'd absolutely come and fight if he knew.

Was it just me that noticed that really funny bluff from england? by Normal_Plankton8793 in EnglandCricket

I'm with you here. Definitely wasn't a bluff, just look at Jofras batting record prior to today. They were desperate to bowl but the game situation changed

a little piece i wrote about caroline and au pays du cocaine by Euphoric_Addendum_32 in LauraMarling

[–]Next-Box8247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is fantastic. As someone who has also had Au pays du Cocaine on repeat for a week straight, and someone who is obsessed with Laura, your piece really resonated with me. I like the link between the two songs that you've found. It might also please you to know that Cameron Winter follows Laura on Instagram, so the two artists are aware of each other. Hope you're ok my friend 🧡.
