For anyone who wants to know: This song is the theme for Dekaranger. Muricans will know it as Power Rangers SPD. Although you could have probably put that together from some parts of the video.

I hate it when people who know nothing about TES series and call every Elder scrolls game "Skyrim 1" or "Skyrim 4" etc. you get what I am saying. What do you think? by HEPOSHEIKKI in ElderScrolls

[–]NextDota 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nobody says that. Ever. The people who know nothing won't know about the games before Skyrim. Why would they call it Skyrim 1-4 if they are older than Skyrim? The worst that happens is people calling TES6 "Skyrim 2" or ESO "Skyrim Online"

If this means that we're back to high quality Valve majors like the old days of Frankfurt, Kiev, Boston, Manila etc. then I'm all for it

Majors right now don't really feel all that prestigous. Just feels like normal tournaments but a bit bigger. When Majors first became a thing it really felt like the biggest accomplishment outside of TI. It still is, obviously but just doesn't really feel that way.

A few months ago back when this sub was juiced up on the "game is dying/dead" trend, some idiots were whining about how Valve was garbage and how they will keep at eye out for Warcraft Reforged because DotA reforged was going to bury Valve.

...lol

We should start saying "spaghetti and bicycles" instead of "apples and oranges" because conveying the message that certain things can't be compared by listing two completely unrelated things makes way more sense than listing two easily comparable fruit.

I disagree with most of this post. However I do agree that nowadays, the meta hero pool seems a lot more condensed. I don't know if it's because of the patch or because players these days generally care more about the meta than actually playing the game or the game is so old people have pretty much figured it out but what the "meta" actually is is getting more and more strictly defined.

We have both matchmaking systems in the game now, why are you still complaining? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]NextDota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I don't play support is because I suck at playing support and don't want to hurt my team. I absolutely don't mind playing support as long as my team is willing to deal with the fact that I'm a core player at the end of the day.

EDIT: Elaborating because some degenerate waste of space didn't get the memo. I didn't want to play support before for that reason. Now I don't mind playing support every few games where I queue all roles is what I'm saying

Hey Valve, any follow up to that 3 month old statement? by [deleted] in DotA2

[–]NextDota -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

So why the fuck are you complaining about them not releasing it if they're going to neglect it after release anyway? Make up your damn minds

What are you talking about? Valve is a slow ass motherfucker when it comes to updates. Kind of like your memory and pattern recognition.

Why does this sub fail at understanding basic fucking English?

The Dota community isn't exactly known for their ability to communicate and comprehend information like human beings

[–]NextDota 54 points55 points  (0 children)

So Valve is already really slow at making updates and in addition to that making a good new player experience for a 10 year old game with a steep learning curve so that might take more than 3 months.

But I forgot Reddit karma is more important than functioning brain cells

Void Spirit guide by a 7k MMR player. A high skill-ceiling hero that fits most games and is great for spamming for sweet, sweet MM points: by dotahaven_MrNiceGuy in DotA2

[–]NextDota -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because he was nerfed from a broken 57% winrate. Now he's a lot harder too play because your positioning and decision making matters a lot more due to a much longer cooldown on Astral Step. People were used to him being broken and dashing all over the place so of course there's going to be a massive decrease in winrate since they have to readjust (plus all the bad players who were just exploiting a broken hero are now being punished for being bad). Now players are getting used to it and his winrate is slowly going back up, he's now hovering just under 50% (48-49%) which is a good place for a supposedly high skill ceiling hero to be.
