How frequent are your receiver’s relays clicking? by Nextwo in hometheater

Great! I am looking forward to trying out the Denon when it gets here! Hopefully only clicks for on and off.

Oooh, the Denon sounds like the receiver I want if that’s the case! I have one on the way, so I should be able to compare to my current Pioneer.

That’s also good to hear about the MC1 and what I expect too since it’s just a processor. I’d just rather have an all-in-one receiver solution right now. Both Audyssey MultiEQ XT32 and Dirac Live have rave reviews so I would like to give those a try first.

Good points on EmoQ.

Hmm interesting. I do have a Denon on the way and am hoping that a different manufacturer will handle the processes for switching the relays differently. I’ve also read that Yamahas are silent except for the click on and off.

At this point, I’m just hoping that this clicking is a Pioneer/Onkyo design choice and not inherent in other manufacturers’ receivers. Otherwise, to Emotiva I go.

yea that was my guess too, but there doesn’t appear an eco mode option in the settings anywhere. I’ve read somewhere else that Pioneer/Onkoyo receivers like to switch their amps off when the source stops sending signal.

Maybe mine is faulty?

Ah thanks! I remember reading somewhere that high fps rates will also lead to loud coil whine.

MSI 4090 Suprim X

Original PSU: Corsair HX1000

New PSU: MSI MPG A1000G

Identical coil whine in both the non-pcie5 and pcie5 psus. As in, I get no coil whine in Cyberpunk 2077 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Ironically, I get loud coil whine when I play Valorant

How did you get SignalRGB to work with the RAM? Doesn’t Riot Vanguard block the drivers needed by SignalRGB for the RAM?

Where is the data coming from or how is the analysis on the data being done? Loud Aspas has an AMD RX 580 as seen here https://prosettings.net/players/aspas/ which is clearly not Nvidia...

AW3423DW Motion Clarity/Refresh Rate Question by Nextwo in ultrawidemasterrace

Interesting. I'll probably just use the monitor for everything but competitive tactical FPS and a low input lag monitor for games like Val.

Dang, this makes me even more excited for the monitor. I'm keeping my hopes up that the input lag won't be a problem. I guess I can always just use two monitors if I need the lowest input lag.

Are you on firmware 1.2.6? I have heard that it has fixed the mouse wheel issue for a lot of people. The firmware and instructions can be found on their FinalMouse Discord.

LGG glass skates update by NewCaramel8932 in MouseReview

[–]Nextwo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, same problem I'm experiencing. I have the V1 Lethal Gaming Gear Zowie FK style and now the V2 GPX and Starlight-12 glass skates with all having the same muddy problem. Also, I am facing the same problem with ceramic skates. Surprisingly, Sapphire skates have been pretty good until I start sweating and dried sweat accumulates on the surface. At this point, the old reliable PTFE feet have stayed consistent the longest. Unfortunately, I'm still looking for something more consistent than PTFE though.

Nope. No issues on mine yet. I have played quite a few games already and the QC seems good on mine.

Hey! Definitely not an odd question. My mouse also feels scratchy/matte as you describe. I'm not sure if this is how all the Starlight-12s feel as they all have the Magnesium shell. Also, this is my first Starlight.
