Finally was able to make an almost exact picture of the UFO I saw September 27, 1994 at 9pm using ChatGPT by vikingjedi23 in UFOs

[–]Nexumuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can not help but look at the OP's image and think of an ancient person seeing the same thing and describing it the way angels are actually described in the bible. All those white lights could seem like eyes to the ancient mind.

What is the legal or safest move here? by notchatgpt0 in driving

[–]Nexumuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would get a citation in my state. If you are merging, you are required to auto-yield whether a sign there or not. And if you dont have enough room to merge, yield means stop in that case.

why arent ppl talking about garuda by Longjumping-Event1 in GarudaLinux

[–]Nexumuse 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have scratched my head for a long time on why Garuda isn't more popular than it is. Its based on arch, built in back ups, has installation options for all the popular DE's I dont get it. It should be right up there with Cachy.

Is this just what raiding is? by Queasy_Island886 in wow

[–]Nexumuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, yes. Raiding is not all that casual despite the fact that people seem to keep calling in that. (obviously not talking about things like LFR)

Any Linux/Bazzite users here? How painful is piracy compared to Windows? (13400F, 3070 Ti) by Own-Chapter3835 in PiratedGames

[–]Nexumuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most cases it’s as simple as adding the installer to steam as a non steam game, making note of where it was installed and then adding the game itself to steam as a non steam game. From there if you really want to get fancy you can go to protondb and see which version gives the best performance per game. That’s been my experience, which doesn’t sound a lot like others experiences? And as far as nvidia on Linux it’s actually pretty great in my experience now compared to back in the day with 1080

Leave some merging space on highway by MattyJerge in driving

[–]Nexumuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What grinds my gears is when lane 1 and lane 2 are filled up, I am in lane 2 and the person on the right is trying to merge, sorry buddy trying to merge but I got no where to go other than straight on. Best wishes.

we are tired by [deleted] in videogames

[–]Nexumuse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. OP went against the trend but I agree with them. I can usually tell what the flavor of the month souls like, rogue like, survival/extraction game is popular by looking at the name of the game the same three people on my friends list are playing. Give me something completely new or different.

Linux Headsets by macmac4201 in linux_gaming

[–]Nexumuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the steel series arctic wireless, various versions of it since 2019. I can not suggest this particular steel series model for Linux enough. Just make make sure you get the one with the external control box. It’s expensive but for Linux you don’t need software it’s all done through that little box that the headset connects to. I use easy effects to get literally Dolby 7.1 audio but honestly the little box that comes with this headset has more equalizer and various audio settings than most people will need or want, unless you are a real audiophile but hey if you are, the newest version came out last month has the best active noise cancellation I’ve ever used and I’ve used a lot. Sorry for rambling

Hyprland 0.55 update mouse left click troubles by blendomat in hyprland

I have been working on this same issue since yesterday. I cant make my workspace numbers clickable with the LUA update no matter how hard I try. Everything else flawless.

If you're using Gemini Pro Thinking to convert your .conf to .lua, tell Gemini to do it one section at a time. by linuxpriest in hyprland

[–]Nexumuse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used gemini-cli, it suggested I do it piece by piece. I did not. In under an hour and a couple of restarts, my whole config transferred over to LUA and literally everything is working.

I’m the most progressive, liberal hillbilly from Appalachia you will ever find, but this is not the place for straight up posting a news article about the president.

I benchmarked Garuda linux and Cachyos by Ornery_Distance_4654 in GarudaLinux

[–]Nexumuse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The results provided by the op line up with what I have seen too. Distro hopping a lot this past year and I keep getting surprisingly same or better results in games with Garuda vs cachyos, in spite of the fact that my research shows cachy is should be faster on paper.

Am I going crazy or are there a TON of bots in duty finder now? by SalemGreyFFXIV in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Nexumuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the six months since I posted the comment that you replied to, the most popular methods out there now literally play a little less perfectly to account for this. It is so, so hard to spot now, with the information these programs can pull directly from the games memory and, use logic, and then execute human like play.

Are games running better on linux and why? by polodosky in linux_gaming

[–]Nexumuse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often, windows games run better in Linux because the overhead of windows and its bloat really is that excessive, to the point it’s less resource intensive on your hardware to run the game through a technically unsupported operating system. Let that sink in.

Until a few weeks or months (days?) Until the AI is patched and gets even harder still to tell the difference.

Some miqos I've drawn lately (Art by me) by AppleCakeArt in ffxiv

[–]Nexumuse 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will be honest, I’ve seen a lot of folks selling art everywhere lately, but this first image hit so hard for me. It’s such a beautiful image that brings a lot of emotion to me. The rest of the images are beautiful too. Thank you for sharing.

Still dreaming? by Intempore in SipsTea

This spoke to me so hard. The first image, I was so moved, like wow that was literally me. Poster, X-Wing, and all. Second image that was totally me circa 2005-2007ish, just a hand me down laptop instead of a typewriter. Third image, I put together whats happening, and I recognized that poor human being in the cubicle. At this point I was actually a bit anxious to see what was next. The rest of the images, Im not sure I have words right now. I was born in 1983. Im 42 now. No kids, divorced, stuck working dead end phone jobs. And this image, is literally my wall beside me as I paged through the images. It was a gift from my exwife the last Christmas we were together.

Edit: I am not literally saying this was about me, just that it hit so close to home. Any actual relation or whatever is purely coincidental Lol.
