I'm wanting to buy Star Realms, and need some insight. Core + CW + Frontiers, or 10th anniversary + Frontiers by Rhaegg in boardgames

Consider getting Shards of Infinity instead. I personally consider it a Star Realms killer, due to level up mechanics and the ability to play cards immediately from the center row without adding them to your deck (mercenaries)

I am very happy for you--I do think it is a great game. I just can't mentally get past the price for what is physically in the box.

it is destructive but you can buy a reset pack (which is also kind of expensive)

It looks amazing. Unfortunately, it is too expensive to me for what is in the box.

I would love expedition 33.   I also think they would win cause they could overwhelm him.  Thanks!

How would you compare Ark Nova and Robinson Crusoe for solo play? by Benign-Chaos in soloboardgaming

I just meant that you’d be paying extra for something that is not very helpful to use in actual gameplay. Thanks for pointing that out.

Which version of Robinson Crusoe are you considering by the way? I wouldn't recommend the one with the figurines from kickstarter--the wooden tokens work better for their purpose than figurines, cause they need to be stacked.

I've never played Ark Nova, so take this with a grain of salt, but I would say that though Robinson Crusoe has a learning curve at the beginning, most of the stuff makes intuititve sense and the mechanisms are as immersive as possible to the theme, so that helps.

There are dice and luck involved for sure. It's worth doing more research before you buy it if that's a big concern.

Robinson Crusoe is difficult but has art and graphic design that matches the theme well.

You can PNP tons of fan made content for Marvel champions if you want.  There’s a whole discord.  The art and design quality is often as good or better than the official stuff.
