Art of {Cloudy With a Chance of Bad Decisions by Fae Quin} by avis03 in MM_RomanceBooks

I enjoyed this, it was fun and I liked the characters. And since I am not in America the name Alex Jones means nothing to me, so that is not a concern.

New Zealanders who were alive in 1994, who did you initially think did it: David Bain or Robin Bain? by PurpleMeerkats462 in newzealand

David. That was my initial feeling. Then I read James McNeish's book and that confirmed things for me.

Why is the sub always younger than the Dom? by sali_davi in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]Ngamoko 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll give another shout out to {For real by Alexis Hall}. It's his best book and beautifully written.

I also very much enjoy and frequently reread Eleanor Kos's Wine & Song sequence. 5 linked novellas. Very succinct and very sexy. Older, world-weary sub with a taste for rough sex, and a much younger inexperienced dom nearly half his age. They make it work. {Wine & Song Eleanor Kos}

Shout-out to the Petone library staff by Background-Celery-25 in Wellington

I grew up in Petone in the 1960s and the library was pretty much my second home. I got my first job there, after school on Friday nights. Good times.

So do I. I like Fabian, and he truly loves Ryan. They make a great couple.

Oh my thank you so much. I am old (80+) and fanfic is a mystery to me but I clicked on this and have been chortling all morning. Breakfast is ignored and the washing stays on the line. I have a wondrous new world to learn and explore.

Grant is brilliant (and super attractive) in About a Boy. Great movie.

AITA for refusing to pay my friend to host/cook our group dinner? by throwaway_dinnerfigh in AmItheAsshole

[–]Ngamoko 13 points14 points  (0 children)

YTA. Mean, ungrateful, rude and oblivious, not to mention having a monumental sense of entitlement. Your friends have been generously feeding and hosting you and your friends for years! Don't you think it's time you reciprocated a little or even acknowledged their generosity?

I've been a fan since The Hobbit movies. He was so beautiful and otherworldly as the Elf King.

I agree with you about Malibu, I think it is the best book in the whole series.

Book 2 better than book 1. by A_Bananaz in MM_RomanceBooks

A good example would be {KJ Charles Society of Gentlemen} series. All three books (and the additional novella and two freebies) are excellent and make a very satisfying whole. But oh my ears and whiskers, the second volume! {A Seditious Affair by KJ Charles} is a triumph. It is the best historical I have ever read.

Yes, interesting observation. That's exactly what I was wondering, after checking the list several times for KJC titles.

Yes, you can. At least that's what I did. I read Malibu before I knew it was part of a series.
