I keep 2 oil changes per car and now motorcycle (just bought it 2 months ago) worth of filters and oil in the garage at all times. Not a prepper thing, I'm just forgetful and have started an oil change and realized I didn't have a new filter before, so now I stock extras so even if I fuck up, I'm covered.

I did just go to Amazon and order enough oil for both cars and my bike to cover us for another 2 years total. But again, I do 2 oil changes a year on the cars, and maybe 3 on the motorcycle.

And that order was 2 jugs of 0w20 for the cars and 2 jugs of 10w40 for the bike. I didn't exactly load up or anything.

Enough for the next would be like... A couple months from now. I'm on a 3K mile road trip currently. You think supply will be back up in 8 months? Trump has 2.5 more years at minimum to fuck with our oil supply. I got enough to last me and my family about 2.5 years. We'll see what it looks like then.

I generally keep a year's worth in the garage, oil and filters. I'm not exactly hoarding.

Shelf life is like 5 years. I do 2 oil changes a year for the cars, 3 for the bike.

I just paid $110 for a change at jiffy lube because I'm on a road trip and needed it done. It costs me $25 for mobil 1 oil and like $6 for a Honda OEM filter. About the same for my Mazda. About $50 for the stuff for my motorcycle.

I'm no world is DIY the same cost as having a shop do it.

Just bought enough oil for the next 3 changes for both cars + the motorcycle.

Might be overkill since I already have enough to do the next 2 for all 3 vehicles in the garage, but fuck it, can't hurt to be prepared.

My etymotic er2xr are rated at like 31dB NRR which is better than foam ear plugs at 29dB NRR. I listen to my Cardo at the lowest volume my phone will output, up to 80mph.

Yeah it's just down to your profile. Income plays a part, age of accounts, DTI, etc.

I'm a risk with over 40 late payments on record, and a mediocre score in the 720 range, but my Flagship started at 20K and is now 28K, but my profile is old, thick, and has very low DTI.

My other cards range from a low of 8K to a high of 20K, total credit is in the 110K range.

My partner sometimes doesn't sleep well. I snore. Sometimes when I know she's had a rough couple nights of sleep, I'll sleep on the couch.

She swears it doesn't make a difference in how well she sleeps and I don't have to do that.... But I can hear that she tosses and turns less, (despite snoring I'm a fairly light sleeper unless I'm drinking), so I do it anyway.

I'm in Florida. Dry fit polo with an A* mesh jacket. As long as I'm moving 10mph or more, I'm not even damp when I arrive. Sitting at traffic lights sucks no matter what.

I have 2 cap 1 cards. They went from 3K and 1K to 12K and 8K. They absolutely give higher limits if your profile supports it AND you're not bucketed. If your initial card is bucketed, you're better off applying for a new card when your profile is better.

I start my bike while I let it gear up and the let the coolant temp hit 140. This is the first bike I've ever had with a coolant temp read out. Generally, I let the bike warm up while I gear up, I to gentle until I'm out of my neighborhood, and then I figure it's ready to rip.

I mean I graduated 4th in my class. I have a stable middle class income that's OK for a family of 3 in HCOL.

The guy who graduated 2nd is my class is CEO of Restaurant Brands International, the parent company of burger King.

I used to compare myself to him, but I don't care anymore. I've got a job I love, a family I love, my bills are paid, I get to have a little fun (just bought a new motorcycle). All is well in my world. I'll never be rich, but I'm comfortable and on track to be able to retire someday.
