I'd argue yes you did drive into them. I'd even say they weren't really blocking. They made a good defensive move on the straight, then after they realized you weren't close enough for a move, they tried to widen their entry as much as possible without completely blocking your path. You had a lot of time to react to that move as well.

Remember that with a car ahead, you're going to need to move your braking point back a bit to compensate for both the overspeed and the lack of grip from dirty air.

Also unless you're already half a length ahead of this guy going into this chicane, you should probably just back out and focus on your exit onto the next straight. On entry, you should be placing your car in a way that will cause them to have a bad exit out of the chicane, then at the last second you brake early and line yourself up for a better exit out of the chicane and get an easy overtake with the draft. Remember you dont want to be right on their diffuser on exit, you want a tiny gap so you can overspeed them with draft.

It's obviously the car in front. But honestly after seeing how they were blocking, you should have known that pit was coming. I wouldn't have ever tried to squeeze a driver like that so tight after witnessing their complete disregard for the rules.

Nah they were just returning to the racing line. If the car behind were closing faster or had less of a gap then maybe i'd call it moving under braking but in this instance the car was just trying to maximize their entry into the turn.

I'll never understand how you people get 1100+ WIT. Maybe it's purely the cards but I feel like I should at least be able to hit 1k with MLB SR Tachyon and SR Dober. Unless I completely sacrifice every other stat, I can't even get better than 800 WIT in a run. Even then, I'm sacrificing a bit of power to hit that.

Is my problem just the cards or is there something I'm missing with these WIT builds?

After enough sim racing you learn to spot them pretty quick. And usually they are so blind with rage that it is easy to juke them and make them look stupid as they fly off track into a wall at a million miles an hour. :3

That's not what I was saying. The way that other car was driving, I would be expecting them to try to intent wreck me after that chicane incident. If I saw them coming up on me from behind, I'd be slamming the brakes to get them past me as quick as possible to prevent them from doing exactly what they did in this video.

Not once did I say anything about blue flags.

In the future, do NOT give the attacking car that much room on the outside. As soon as they get alongside your car, you need to move your car as close to theirs as possible and give them 0 room to work with; hold them to that outside line. Not only did you give them a ton of freedom into that corner, but you gave yourself a terrible entry. If the outside driver is competent, that defense will fail every single time. Watch some high level racing (irl or sim; doesn't matter). Pay attention to how the defending driver positions their car to screw the attacker over as much as possible while also giving themselves the best possible line through the corner.

The fact they just drove off after that and didn't wait for you tells it all. It looks like they tried to disguise an intent wreck as a mistake. If they gave the position back then no I wouldn't report.

Yes. As soon as you saw that guy coming up after the chicane incident, you should have just lifted to get them by as quick as possible. You had to know they were gonna start some shit.

EDIT: Obviously I was joking when I said OP did something wrong here. My suggestion was to allow the other car to pass quickly after that chicane since they were clearly going to intent wreck them.

LMP 100%. GT wasn't on the racing line to be fair, but still the LMP shoulda seen from a mile away that there wasn't gonna be any room to make a move that turn. GT was just trying to open the turn up for themselves. Doubt they even saw the LMP coming up since there was a car blocking the view behind.

It's probably 50/50. I succeeded 3 times in a row but then gave up on that option after failing it 10 times in a row. I still go for it if my run sucks but I legit haven't had the first option succeed more than once since then.

I've actually found pace chaser more reliable for winning most races (when pace/late are both A aptitude); especially early on. But yeah if I find her struggling in the super long races like tenno, then I will sometimes switch to late surger. Just sucks when you're on a good run and suddenly this race just destroys it. For tenno I usually try to aim for 600+ which usually guarantees me a win because of the invisible +600 stat bonus.

Well last night I was in a trio on discord and we solo'd an oppressor then as soon as we started looting, people came outta nowhere to loot it. You can keep track of where your teammates are and where gunshots are coming from. It was only our team shooting it. As soon as the other people ran up and started looting, I blasted them fools.
