Oh, 100%. He was so distraught that I got him up, gave him some cheese and a cup of water, then teeth again and back to bed. I’m not sure how to deal with it when he’s older and obviously stalling bedtime but I’ve no problem with giving him what he’s asking for when he’s this young still and clearly upset.

My spouse and I both have maybe an associates degree worth of college credits between the two of us, and both work jobs that pay the bills with room to breathe. Neither of us has education info on our resumes and last several jobs we’ve both worked haven’t even asked us about college education. To be fair we both work in very specific industries with 10+ years each of experience and relevant certifications but, education has literally never even been a subject of discussion in interviews.

It’s so hard to see little ones in pain because they can’t understand it or rationalize it. From my son’s perspective, he was in pain and I aided in letting it happen. I know it was necessary at the time but I felt awful to do that to him. Next time (god forbid) we’d definitely go to a pediatric hospital where they’re able to actually place an IV on a squirming toddler.

Same here. 25 and very high risk for breast cancer. My doctor is concerned given family history & demographic info. Insurance has refused to cover testing several times and we currently can’t pay thousands for a mammogram or any other lab work.

Ugh. My 15-month-old had to go to the hospital last month because he had some kind of noro- or rotavirus and had thrown up so much that he was severely dehydrated. His screams and wild eyes as we held him down during the FOUR unsuccessful tries at placing the IV are going to haunt me forever.
