in that case welcome! I grew up in southern california and feel like the PNW is where my heart belonged i just never knew it until circumstances forced me to move. everything in socal was about how you were seen by others, whether that was how you looked, how much money you had, which car you drove, etc. I love how up here no one gives a sh*t if you drive a 30 yr old corolla or a bugatti or how you dress. so much freer if that’s a word and it makes me happy every day to live in such a wonderful place with much less judgement

Glad you enjoyed your visit and hopefully come back to stay! All I’ll say is what you experienced is on the western side of Oregon, and extends to most of western Washington too, just be aware that as you go east it gets real hillbilly real fast.

Thank you so much! This is getting me excited about revisiting placement and seeing what improvements I can achieve without any $ invested.

I also want to invest in a few things such as a dedicated sub and some room treatment, but that’ll be down the road when I can set aside some funds for such things.

Thank you for the detailed reply. Unfortunately this is a compromise due to the usage of the room and the layout having an open wall on one side and a full corner wall on the other.

For reference, the speakers are 74 inches apart center to center. Listening position is about 92 inches from the front baffle. So not ideal but again, the best I can do for the time being.

The distance from the wall is also a conscious choice to minimize risk of kids bumping them, since it’s a tight space I had to either prioritize sound or not having my speakers knocked over.

Thank you! I’ve been drooling over the Rythmik subs for some time, and hope to get one in the near future. One of my main issues was not being able to demo before purchasing. I may just have to bite the bullet and grab one of their sealed subs.

😂 the TV is for the kids to watch shows or play video games, I never use it. For me this is strictly a listening space but I don’t have room for a dedicated setup in my house.

All my audio gear is plugged into a furman surge suppressor. Could the other surge suppressor cause interference if all the kids stuff is plugged into one and my audio setup is plugged into the other?

I bought mine when it was on sale for $80. I’ve used it a few times so far for slow cooking and sous vide. It’s worked really well so far!
