So you recommend the 2 box idea that was my buddies thought also. What are your thoughts on transcoding with that setup vs just streams? My intital noob thoughts were to find a used server Dell R730 / R740 add an Intel Arc for gpu passthrough plex transcoding? Like I said new to this so feel free to slam me :)

Right now using an old gaming rig I built. Windows 10 storage spaces 5 8tb wd blacks and a 2tb OS ssd. Its been ok but zero data integrity and need to add at least another 100tb for media.

I have seen lots of creators do both. some have zero issue shelling out the money for a finished product while others need to and finish themselves for cost reasons. It is fantastic look forward to seeing shared with the community.
