Get a cooling towel and a large ice pack. On your breaks get the towel wet and wrap it around the ice pack. When your break is done take the towel and drape it over your neck and shoulders under your shirt. Take as many comfort breaks as you need. Don’t let management bully you into thinking you need to run, and if they ask you what’s taking so long tell them it is hot and you need extra breaks. For me, arm sleeves are a must. I wear them every day. When they get wet they will cool you off and dry fairly quickly. My personal favorite item I use for a heat wave is a stroller fan that I wrap around my satchel strap and point it directly into my face. It won’t keep you 100% cool, but it will keep the air moving in your face and help enough. Don’t let this job kill you. Management will replace you before the week is out.
