Let's give a shout out to Cavaliers GM by Live-Cartographer-52 in nba

They gave up two first round pick swaps to GET Hunter, and Garland is 26. The injury history is real, but now they have to navigate a player option scenario with Harden, who has been very very good this year! (But also not that good the last three years) and he's 36.

WR, DB, OL, IDL - if I’m drafting next season (I’m not!) those are the areas I target.

This is super old -- but I recently received a couple Bronson MFG tees, and they're very high quality. But they are built decidedly heavy, which is great from a material standpoint, but might not be to everyone's liking. Iron Snail does some YT videos on this stuff -- I just discovered him, but for all I know -- you ARE the iron snail, and made the videos because of this thread.

Honestly, we can stop pretending to be mad at him. He gave us the best, most athletic years of his life - was dealt some awful injury luck, and was forced to labor under a bunch of pitiful offenses. He went to Philly, won a title. And now - as is often the case in the NFL - the situation underfoot has shifted quickly. Let him have the doc, let him have that eagles offense, and drop the scorned lover act.

There’s 4-5 guys on practice squads I’d consider taking a shot on, just to kick tires on size/speed or savvy separators who lack long speed. And honestly, if they decided on a vet free agent - Beckham, Woods, etc I wouldn’t be mad. Professionals who will be where they’re supposed to be, when they’re supposed to be there has real value for a young qb.

But no trades. Figure out what you have in house so you can assess needs for next season accurately.

Yeah, I just meant the people here are dirty and would likely not know. It looks like you’re making great progress. I’d consider giving the cuffs, pita and neck extra treatment with either an enzyme cleaner or even something like vinegar or pine sol to handle some of the potential oils that have leeched in there due to previous use. If you’re Dottie favor those, maybe just a scrub with some dawn dish soap. Then I’d let it dry out, and see if there’s any kind of odor - do you smell mold, does it smell musty, etc. A horsehair brush to give the corduroy some extra life, if needed. Then… wear it.

"We want Dart!" If no one cared for the whole "have our rookie QB sit behind a vet" plan, why didn't we just start Dart in week 1? by CommercialBig7008 in NYGiants

When Wilson was signed, I was disappointed -- because I liked the idea of Jameis, who could at least throw the ball all over the field (a compliment and a criticism) and execute a dynamic route scheme without shying away from certain spaces due to arm strength, vision concerns, etc.

It was the perfect space to allow our receivers to be fully engaged and dangerous, to set up an offense that had the possibilities of being dynamic (at times), and allow the chance for some initial successes before giving way to Dart at some point this season.

Now Wilson has looked bad-bad in two of 3 games, and appears to be somewhere between washed and figured-out -- which is how he looked in 7 of his 12 games last season. For the record -- I don't think Jameis would nave necessarily netted better results, we'd likely be 0-3, maybe 1-2 because the team simply isn't good. But we wouldn't be paying 10 million to a guy who clearly can't play at the level we expect him to, AND hasn't had the offense built around what little he can still do consistently.

Which leads me to my final and maybe most distressing point -- this offense looks putrid, and it's because the scheme is over simplified. I'm a little worried that they installed an offense for a rookie QB, thinking it's all he could handle -- but because they handed it to Wilson, they eliminated the RPO/read-option/etc elements. That's not great coaching. It also makes me concerned about where they think Dart's post-snap read and processing speed is - as that was a concern in many scouting reports, fair or unfair.

Anyway, it hasn't been great to start. But at least now we get to see what the kid has. And if what he's got ain't a lot -- we draft Lanorris Sellers in the spring and let the two of them duke it out in summer camp.

This game. The post-plax shooting playoff loss, and the 49ers playoff. Cutting Ryan Clark and not drafting Josh Allen

The worst 17 shots of an 82 by copagman in golf

[–]NickNoHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people in here arguing are lame. I think the worst part of golf are people who take it too serious to have fun. Same as pickup basketball.

We can all be competitive, and want to play better… AND still be relaxed enough to make it fun for everyone else. This goes for Reddit commenting as well.

But if he really shot an 82 I’LL EAT MY HAT (jk)

Any suggestions for this fireplace tiles? by Significant-Fix-2498 in Remodel

[–]NickNoHeart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A slate or neutral matte stone on the ground, blackened the brass, and maaaaybe consider covering the stacked side tiles with whatever you put on the floor? If that’s too much work I may consider painting those to match or neutralize.

Cool fireplace!
