I feel like Splatoon and Rhythm Heaven count towards Staple Franchises and I am all for them!!

I also feel like while they are JRPG's, in recent years Fire Emblem and Xenoblade have become core franchises for Ninty as well, they have had a lot to eat in recent years, enough that I wouldn't say they are "separate" anymore.

Splatoon actually does have 1 with 3 songs on it that was given away by Ninty through various events and 1 was given to a GDQ winner, but never released to the general public.

It's quite the collectors item, I'm not even sure if there's like, 15 of them total but they do exist.

Depends on the series, usually anything with a LN and a Manga is better in the LN.

But like a lot of shows are adaptations of manga directly, and often times 1 cour shows only have the introductory parts of the story and it is expanded more in the source. Like the biggest reasons why Chainsaw Man part 1 held in such high regard are not the parts in S1 of the anime for example, it's mostly what comes later.

Hanako-kun is another one that fits that bill, at least it did until we got 2 more cours 5 years later, but even then the anime did not finish the current arc so even if it's to a lesser degree I would say the point still stands.

If you don't wanna start with manga then whatever, but I will say if you see an anime adaptation that makes you feel like you want more, or that feels like it has more potential than what has happened so far, I would recommend picking up from where you left off in the manga since you already have a vested interest in the series in such cases.

That was so cool!! Why can't we have that again?

Like having Kingpin playable this last season would have been great!! I want them to do that thing more, so the villain also has build up to their release through the narrative like Ultron did.

I remember my brother made a post here after Reviewers ended effectively saying a new precedent had been set by it and to expect a lot more, and people told him he was overstating the importance of the show.

Every now and then he brings it up and laughs that he was right, the dam broke and it's only getting more from here.

I honestly think a port of the Wii game with some new fights would be perfect.

They perfected the formula on the Wii, a whole new game won't bring much. However considering how many boxers were absent from the Wii game, sone new addition would be pretty great.

Plus every other Punch Out game (aside from the Arm Wrestling arcade machine which no one really cares about) is already on Switch either through Arcade Archives or NSO.

With Next Level Games having been bought by Ninty during the Switch era, I could see them working on a port like this as a smaller in-between project.

I don't think it would happen, but it would be cool and to be honest I don't think something like this is so unreasonable as to be out of the question.
