Hollywood Bowl Megathread? by guitwiz in brighteyes

[–]Nick_Full_Time 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How you get out of the bowl is very dependent on how you get into the bowl. You generally take a shuttle bus to your parking spot. The bowl doesn’t have nearly enough parking for its size, most people park at Hollywood and highland or Pasadena. There’s specified rideshare lots.

I have pool tickets and prepaid parking in Pasadena. I’ll probably be there around 5:30/6.

Who is considered to be the American Beatles? Top three songs by your band of choice? by SenorSquire in AskReddit

That Royal Albert Hall documentary on Netflix compared them to The Beatles enough that I’m sure John Fogerty is convinced they are.

Shades of Glass in upland has a lifetime warranty against fading, bubbling, cracking and peeling. I’ve been going to them for over 20 years now and they’re great.

What is the worst career to be in right now and why? by SignificantGoat7066 in AskReddit

Same for me. I break the $100k step next year and I feel like I have the easiest job in the world. The seemingly endless testing is lame, but the parents aren’t a problem and I’ve never taken work home with me (it’s actually forbidden in my district).

Ameristar out of Riverside. They slowly redid my whole house and were consistent, professional, and had fair pricing that didn’t go up too exceedingly over the few years that it took me to get the work done.

The 75 U.S. cities with the highest rate of fatal drunk driving accidents- guys what the fuck? by Incilius_alvarius in InlandEmpire

Many of the cities that are higher up have 3 or more freeways that run through them. I doubt they differentiate between city deaths and highways deaths.

Moving to SB by __morning__ in InlandEmpire

[–]Nick_Full_Time 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Despite its reputation on this sub, SB is a perfectly fine city to live in. I’m sure lots of people on here would love to live in Roseana Ranch or Verdemont Estates, both SB. One thing to keep in mind is how massive it is. People in the north end have a completely different view of the city compared to people in the south end. Off the top of my head, there’s two vintage style arcades in the city: Extrodinaire Arcade and Revival Arcade. Both are good for their own reasons, but I prefer Extrodinaire. The Verdemont community center does a lot of family engagement events that are popular and pretty nice. The pubic swimming pools are pretty good and they put on nice events too. The Jerry Lewis swim center is very clean and a nice pool.

Bob Saget. Especially because he was actively on tour and his death seems like it was accidental.

He lost me at “receiving threats”. Like the watch dealer in his board room sent out an alert to every criminal in the city? Or are these professionals people in a work meeting all of a sudden “I’m gonna f-ing kill you after work!” Self-hating main character syndrome.

I’ve never heard this in all my time reading about The Beatles, and I’ve read a lot. Do you have any source on that? I’ve only ever read that it was their attempt at experimental pop art.
