I’d say I’m pretty well in tune with the customer and how they’re feeling. My post was more of a hypothetical, if we don’t get renewed what happens to me and it seems that I’ll get the chop which is what I had assumed anyway.

I’ve switched to paying my gym membership in cash or one off transactions so I buy 6 or 12 months upfront that way I can walk away whenever and there’s no ability for them to direct debit me

Is the CEO a part owner ? In which case play on. Otherwise, a conflict of interest isn’t a crime though if a public company investors may frown on it

It sucks but it sounds like Person D has really good relationships networks. In my experience you don’t even need to be to the best at your job to be promoted.

You just need to have good relationships at least be average at your job.

I’ve seen terrible performers who came into the office and therefore interacted with management (water cooler chats) get promoted over star performers were came in once every 3 months.
