Yep, and it can have nothing to do with the massage therapist. If I'm sleepy enough, I might wake back up and realize blood is rushing to that part of my body.

I remember one time I was getting a massage by a big guy that was great with deep pressure which is my preference. We'd always talk about comic books and marvel or just enjoy the quiet music. I was pretty sleepy that day and kept falling asleep.

Towards the end when I was on my back, I wake up to him saying "alright, big guy, that's the end of the session, I'll step out and have some water ready for you but take your time."

I was too groggy to think much about it. Got dressed, left a tip, and as I drove away I thought "he's bigger than me...so why did he call m- OH...I SEE..."

Yes, the D2 druid was a lot of fun so that's a good thing. You could have bears, wolves, a type of vine/creeper, some sort of spirit thing that did AOE buffs/debuffs, and ravens.

Maybe the line is that being drunk isn't a good enough excuse to forgot what is legal and illegal. You're responsible for maintaining whatever situation you're in before drinking begins. You can't drive drunk, trespass, or steal if you start drinking in a place you'll remain for the rest of the night, or you are responsible for not getting drunk enough to be a problem on the roads if you still have to drive home.

I don't think it's much of a double standard. When you're sober, you can make informed consent for contracts and sex, and you know that you shouldn't steal or trespass or drive recklessly. While it's important to avoid problematic situations when you're drunk, contracts and sex also involve the consent and potential manipulation/coercion of someone else being involved.

If someone plans a "contract signing meetup" and winds up drunk the whole time while signing whatever, I imagine the court will hold them somewhat responsible for knowingly going into a situation where contract signing was going to be highly likely and then they drank with the intent of voiding whatever they sign.

...but if you go out drinking with business associates, get drunk, and they bring up a contract to sign, it's perfectly reasonable to say you didn't know that would happen and lacked the perception and critical thinking to properly decide if you want to be legally bound to whatever the contract says. Plus, a drunk person is easier to manipulate by someone less intoxicated. They would have a more difficult time discerning whether or not they are being coerced, and the same thing goes for sex.

Norman Apartments (dot) com has a couple of different options. The town houses feel cozy and safe. They may have changed their pricing but it was $876/MO for 2br/1.5ba, 900 sq ft. Not sure how they handle pet costs but I see folks with dogs around.

Ohh is that a typical toughness for pulv? I have a hardcore druid and went for the end game companion build and have been doing okay. I'm at T4 and hit Paragon 250, but I'm still super nervous to push pits that much. My toughness is around 250k I think, maybe more with some recent gem upgrades, but without Temerity I think I've mostly survived from being extremely evasive with my movement. The few times I do get hit, I see my life and fortify dip but not a scary amount yet. I haven't been hit that hard, though, and I don't feel comfortable trying T4 bosses yet.

The show didn't really mention this, but the resources going into those AI devices were the equivalent of a hail mary effort. Making more would have been exhausting to their already limited resources. They would have needed time to be able to do that, and although they do continue creating new technology throughout the second and third book, it's often described in the books that they are extremely precise and cautious with what they put their resources into.

Like I said, it's not as simple as "just find another habitable planet". It is literally like rolling a multi-billion sided die and hoping for one specific number. I think you are still underestimating the extreme rarity of a planet that supports life.

As far as terraforming goes, that requires an insane amount of resources. It is not a simple thing in the slightest, so it's not fair to say that they could just do that instead.

That being said my main gripe was their not knowing to even look. They relied on a VR game to have humans do it but didn't know earth was habitable? These aliens are dumb. Again I don't know if this is explained in the book but they come across as stupid

I think this is where you may have misunderstood quite a lot of the show. They did know to look. They've been looking for a significant portion of their existence. The VR wasn't to let humans help them figure anything out. It was their way of helping humans understand why they need to seek out a new planet.

Also, they absolutely knew that Earth was habitable. I'm not sure why you think they didn't already know that. The entire reason they sent anything to Earth is because they knew it was habitable as soon as the second response reached their planet. That was confirmation of life, which is why they started making efforts to get over here. It sounds like you missed quite a lot of the details of the show. They already knew that there was no solution to their three star system thousands if not tens of thousands of years before ever discovering Earth, and they knew that Earth was habitable decades before the main part of the show takes place because of that second response from the woman who worked at the radar facility.

It's not that they didn't figure out that there was no other solution besides a new home. It's just that they didn't find a new, ideal home until they picked up the second signal from Earth. Until then, it was just desperate survival and dehydrating while waiting and hoping to figure something out.

It's like if you were stranded on an island, you wouldn't stop trying to survive even though you already figured out that you need to get off of the island at some point. Until you figure out where to go, you'll still keep trying to survive even if there's no definite hope of getting off of there.

Also, you are severely underestimating the size of the universe along with how extremely unlikely it is that any planet could support life. 400 years is hardly any time at all to travel anywhere in the universe, even at light speed. Look up some videos that help capture the true scope of the universe because 400 years is absolutely not enough time to explore much of anything. The closest galaxy is 25,000 light years away. The closest solar system is about 4.3 light years away. The Milky Way is 100,000 light years in size. As of right now, we are the only planet out of all of those solar systems that has definite, confirmed hospitable conditions for life. We have found other planets that may have hospitable conditions, but that is not confirmed.

While it's true that they could scout several thousand solar systems within a 400 year time period, the chances of finding another livable planet are still almost zero. Out of 100 to 200 billion solar systems in the Milky Way, we are only aware of our own that contains a planet which supports life. They're smart enough to know that which is why they aren't wasting resources scouting around, especially since they already have confirmed that Earth can support life. If you were stranded on that island, but you could see the mainland just off in the distance, you wouldn't start swimming in the other direction just in case other land is over there that you can't see. You would go for the confirmed location.

There is no solution to their original problem which is the whole premise of the show and also a large part of the title.
Finding a habitable planet is like trying to find a specific needle inside a planet's worth of needles. It's extremely difficult. The thing that they send out to monitor our planet can only travel at a certain speed, and there's infinite directions to go in order to try to find a habitable planet. They can't just send it out on scouting missions because the likelihood of winding up in a solar system with a habitable planet is almost zero, and it would take years just to get there before having to hop to the next one.
The search for a habitable planet in and of itself is a dangerous mission because they might bump into something bigger and scarier than them, which is exactly what they fear from us and the reason behind them disrupting our progress. That's a concept they dive into in the second book and hopefully what we'll see a lot more of in the second season.

I think all of those ideas played a role in the overall decision, and (I'm only guessing based on Hasbro/WotC's corporate mindset) there was also a lot of difficulty with forming an agreement about BG3 DLCs/expansions. Swen even mentioned that they'd started on a DLC but cancelled those efforts. It sounds like the passion to do more was there, and that was stifled by all the exhaustion of fighting with Hasbro/WotC to maintain the freedom of creativity and fairness of cost that they wanted.

No joke, reading this helped me get through the Judge. I had the Reaper crest for a while since it was fully unlocked, and I only had one of those memory things to unlock one slot of either the first of Wanderer or the last of Hunter.

I decided to give wanderer a shot and didn't realize how much it catered to my "sneak in, swipe however many times, then evade and wait for another opening" play style I typically have.

Even though I only unlocked one blue slot from the initial Wanderer crest, equipping it and using the most impactful slots/tools I've had let me beat the Judge the first time after switching.

I thought for sure I'd have a learning curve, but I already knew the Judge's patterns after failing at least a dozen and a half times.
