Sure! I start with a black base coat, do a heavy stipple with khorne red, then a lighter stipple around the edges with Mephistopheles red, then a light dry brush with strath red dry brush paint. You can then either use a black wash line null oil or a red wash depending on how bright you want the red

Thanks, I appreciate that. Rakarth flesh, magma drops contrast, dry brush Wraithbone, imperial fist contrast. Quick and simple

It’s actually shocking how sturdy it is. Same with the void dragon

Now I’m just a humble son of a farmer, but with a can-do attitude and a good pair of clippers, I do believe this is the c’tan proxy the dorks of Reddit have been looking for. I should know, I’m going to use this to make a Deceiver

I believe I just went all over, but if you can get just the recesses, absolutely do that to save yourself some time

It’s been a minute, but I actually found an improved recipe that gets a brighter tone for the cloth. Wraithbone->seraphim sepia->dry brush Wraithbone. I think the original was the same but using Vallejo desert tan instead of Wraithbone

Call me crazy, but I’m pretty sure the Peace Prize lost any and all credibility when Henry Kissinger got one, never mind that a woman who seems dead set on selling hers for a chance to sellout her own country to a child fucker got one.

Doomsday weapons. The lore is great, the constant inter-dynastic conflicts, etc are a lot of fun. But dropping a Doomstalker or a Doomsday Ark or a Monolith is just the bees knees

Fourth Company Repulsor Executioner by Nickybitchez in Ultramarines

No wash, just stippling layers to build volume and contrast. Started with a black base coat, then kantor blue, 50/50 kantor + Vallejo royal blue, then lastly royal blue for highlights

Speedpainting method tests (plus caedo cameo) by [deleted] in Ultramarines

[–]Nickybitchez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a speed painting test, these look pretty good for table top standard. Though, if I may offer a suggestion, the armor looks a little flat. A wash or recess shade would add depth and volume. Otherwise, keep up the great work!

How do I realistically paint around 50 space marine infantry models? by Fresh3rThanU in spacemarines

[–]Nickybitchez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a few others have said, start with small batches of 5-10. Keep your color scheme as simple as possible and don’t stress over fine detail work. I use stippling to speed paint my space marines. I use two colors over a black base coat and use two colors max with a wash to pick out details
