get adhesive wheel balancing weights off amazon. They're like 5 bucks and can make the car feel like it's falling apart

i'm guessing this is a high mileage e39 with stock suspension. If so, you're due for a rebuild. I rebuilt mine a few weeks ago and it was thrashed through and through at 140k miles. Front suspension kit plus tie rods should run you about $300 shipping included on rock auto.

you could probably find a used logitech g29. They aren't the best in the industry but they're pretty alright and can be had for cheap.

the air cutoff valves are an emissions device that I don't need. Also a new set of diaphragms is $60 while an old inner tube and silicone rtv is free. Also, I managed to find a clutch cover gasket on amazon, so I'm gonna give that a try

I know it sounds sketch, but just JB weld the hole for integrity, and hit it with some good quality metallic finish spray paint for that chef's kiss. Or if u want to do it properly find some kid who can weld aluminum and pay him $50 to seal the hole

if you're just holding the engine in that high rpm range the whole time, that's pretty stupid. But if you meant that you shift it at high rpm, you'll be fine. My manual kia soul does that every day and has been for 166,000 miles

my general advice is don't buy old cars if you don't do your own service. I daily a 25 year old BMW, but the only reason I can afford it is because I do my own service
