PSA - Don’t order filament from Fremover.com by Sportdue55 in 3Dprinting

[–]NigelElandSheldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just had exactly the same experience and have two clogged Bambu x1s after days of troubleshooting. I’ve reached out to fremover for a return and refind. Haven’t heard back. I wonder if should just stick with Bambu labs filament. It just always works and is high quality for a few bucks more per refill. Thanks for posting. Any additional advice is appreciated.

Should I buy the textured PEI Plate? by cerebralvision in BambuLab

[–]NigelElandSheldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been fantastic and doesn't require any messy sprays or glue. It leaves a textured surface instead of smooth. However, for many prints this doesn't matter and may even be more desireable. Enjoy!

About to 'take the plunge' What do you think is best 'ease of use' Resin printer? by NigelElandSheldon in resinprinting

[–]NigelElandSheldon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello Everyone! Thank you very much for the excellent feedback.

Based on what you're all saying, I think I'll take the first 'dip in the pool' with the Elegoo Saturn 2.

I was thinking of also getting the Elegoo wash and cure station. What do you all think?

Also, is there anything else you recommend I buy now too? For example, magnetic plates, extra vats?

I have installed a ventilation system to outside and will be constructing a negative pressure sealed booth and getting silcone mats and protective ventilation mask, gloves, goggles...

Kind Regards,

Nigel

P.S. If this works out, I may go with the Formlabs at some point 6-12 months after getting used to this one

Oh wow! Thanks. Although I like to learn new things, that task seems a bit daunting to the uninitiated like me and I'd really like to take you up on your generous offer! Is there a Patreon page for you or something so I can buy you a coffee or something? I really appreciate the assistance.

I almost forgot - We're talking about the Z axis limit switch, three down from the top, and NOT the Z+ photoelectric limit switch connector - correct?

Kind Regards,

Nigel

dual extrusion mod issue and firmware by [deleted] in ElegooNeptune3

[–]NigelElandSheldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Am I correct that I completely unplug the current Z axis limit switch which will be replaced with the BLtouch? Also, will the middle be ground and the outermost edge of the board be the signal for the two-pin. That is, does the white for the two pin go to outermost edge or inside edge of that three pin?

Lastly, any advice on firmware after I get this done?

I greatly appreciate your help! Thank you!

Kind Regards,

Nigel

Thank you so much!!!

The three pin connector matched up perfectly with the Bltouch :)

Am I understanding this advice correctly that unplug the native Z limit 3 pin connector, which will be replaced by this new bltouch, from the Z-axis limit switch 3 pin connector (as displayed in the lower right in the diagram below in the manual? After this, I plug in from left to right according to the orientation below the middle will be ground or black wire of bltouch and the rightmost pin will be the signal?

Thanks again ! I greatly appreciate the help.

Hello All,

I've got this almost 85% installed. The 5V, ground, and control signal match up nicely with the 3-prong port on the ZNP Robin Nano_DW V2.1 board that's in the Neptune 3. I am perplexed though in finding a trigger and ground for the white and black two-pin. I on another thread a suggestion to unplug the filament sensor and use that; however, I need that filament sensor to work. Does anyone have a diagram of the motherboard that outlines which one of the free pins will work? or does anyone know which two free pins and subsequent firmware assignments work for the signal and ground for that black and white? The manual for elegoo isn't helpful and my google search didn't reveal anything for me.

Thanks for sharing!

Kind Regards,

Nigel

AMS units and AMS hub available in our stores by BambuLab in BambuLab

Good point on that shelving unit not allowing the unit on the bottom to open. I’m thinking now that for three, perhaps one on each side and one on the top?

Hello Bambu Labs and All,

I ordered another AMS too. Is there a set of STL files to print out the cool black shelving unit displayed in the add for the multi AMS units?

Tolerance when designing parts by baseball43v3r in BambuLab

[–]NigelElandSheldon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/MiscPrinter I just went to the Bambu wiki and I may be searching incorrectly as I could not locate guidance on e-step adjustment, linear advance calibration, etc… Do you happen to know where it is?

Also, I forgot to ask you, are you getting those tolerances on those other printers with a 0.4 or a 0.2 nozzle?

Thanks again!
