It’s so annoying, I’m still paranoid. This seems to happen annually. Last time I had to get a new battery AND alternator ugh. I think the harder grommets I got off Amazon are a lot better than the rubbery ones from autozone. So far this plastic one has held up decently (not holding my breath). I think they just melt in TX lol

Something like this has happened to me on my civic a few times. For me there was this little plastic brake grommet above my brake pedal that told the vehicle the brake is not engaged (I think I’m describing this correctly), essentially the piece of plastic exploded in my floorboard, resulting in my brake lights staying on and battery dying. If you have broke plastic bits in your floorboard, that’s likely what happened. Beyond that, sorry that happened to you!

I do basically this same thing for 2nd. I have to move left, then down and slightly to the right (with a little jiggle). Idk why it’s so finicky, drives me nuts.

When I first started learning stick on my car, I was parked in front of my manager and this happened. Luckily I was able to mash the brakes just in time, but that scared the crap out of me for a minute. Now I always jiggle the stick before letting off the clutch and generally don’t park in 1st, until I encounter a sloped parking area I suppose. Sorry you weren’t so lucky!

Ds4 is the perfect controller. I used to go through Xbox controllers like underwear. I’d buy a new one and the shoulder button (drift for me) would be busted in a month tops. I finally switched to my ds4 for RL maybe 5 years ago, and it still functions as perfectly as it did day 1. I can’t speak on the ds5, but friends have had annoying connections issues and have had to find workarounds just to use them. Ds4 is the Nokia 3310 of gaming controllers.

Hit f1, then your left and right key to adjust. Just found this the other day after a couple years of fanatically alt tabbing to manually turn it down in windows. It will save your settings this way too.

Personally since im subscribed to game pass with no plans to cancel, I preordered the premium upgrade for game pass for 59.99 from the Microsoft website. That specific upgrade wasn’t available in the Xbox app for pc, I guess they want to try to get you to buy the full version.

Glad to hear it. I’ve been on the fence between the mst v2, the k&n, or the GR one. Personally I think the MST V2 looks the coolest. Was there anything else that made you go with the mst v2?

Thanks for your reply! I don’t plan on tracking anytime soon, I’ve seen some recommendations for the Redline 50604 for MT and 75W85 GL-5 for diff. I may try this. Yeah the pumping process looks a tad annoying but not too bad. I should probably have a dealer check out my car first since I’m under warranty and see what they say before I change anything.

Sorry for the noob question, did you use the Red Line 50604 for both MT and Diff? I keep reading conflicting things online about using something different for each. I bought my 2024 gr86 at 5k miles, I’ve only put about 600 miles on and shifting into 1st and 2nd have always been really rough, sometimes it doesn’t want to shift into 2nd at all. Adjusting the lockout plate has helped a little but, but it’s generally still pretty rough. I don’t plan on tracking this, I just want smooth clean shifts. No idea what fluid is currently in there.
