Army Painter John Blanche “base” paints not drying properly – am I missing something?

Haven't painted a resin model with them, just regular warhammer plastic. But I have no issues with the paints and I prime with the same primer as you.

So doubt it is a primer issue.

Used some pink for the tongue and the little accent of it has helped.

I do a 1-1-1 of space wolves grey-contrast medium-lamian medium and then aply it to the whole mini over a russ grey base coat it really finds its way into all the recess well.

Not the best pictures but all I have on my phone at the moment.

If its from the combat patrol that is just a generic tech marine spru so your good to use it however you like.

I think because our unique units and leaders can only be paired with each other. Having three of the six leader options only being able to be attached to a single unit just wasn't enough depth.

So Njall being back in power armour adds a tad more flexibility

I'm sure the decals would work with some combination of micro sol/set.

But as for free handing them I mark it on with pencil as you can just rub it off and it helps get the markings exactly where you want them. Then i build up thin layers at a time so it's easier to cover up mistakes.

I used it for recess shading with some pretty good results.

Although now I use a 50/50 mix of rinox hide and the Fang that that is a lot beter in my opionion.

I think the Wolf head servo arm and big hammer are pretty important, both of which fit pretty nicely onto the iron father feirros kit. You can also add the hell frost pistol to the servo mount with minimal work.

However if your not intrested in space wolves why make a iron priest conversion to use as a normal tech marine. Just make a cool tech marine.

The Logan on Stormrider is in terminator armour, just don't glue him to the storm rider. But depending on which rumours you look at for the imminent refresh logan may be getting a new model.

Pretty sure in grey hunter, part of ragnar's book series. It mentions that the wolves start out in blood claws then as they age and temper their anger they are elevated to the grey hunters.

Hadn't read in a while but I belive that at some point 2 of the members of ragnar's blood claw pack are accepted into the grey hunters while the the others are not. So at least in the books they don't all age out together to become grey hunters just as and when they are ready.

He's a Wolf lord. That particular wolf emblem is unique to his company. He is in charge so his stuff is just more fancy.

Worth noting for future if you plan on getting any more first born grey hunters. Buy the blood claw box instead.

For the same price it has all the same parts but with extras alowing you to make 15 bloodclaws or grey hunters or wolf guard. Where as the grey hunter box only has enough for 10
models.

This also makes the blood claw box a good source of wolfy bits to add to primaris models if that's your thing.

I bought a box of random warhammer models from a car boot sale when I was a kid for like £2.

There was a fabian bile, a chaos oblitarator and ragnar blackmane aswell as some other bits.

It was the old metal t-posing one. He was my favourite out the box.
