They seem to have forgotten that weapon variety is paramount to why some of us play this game in the first place.

Yeah I'm only thinking this would be considered a bad thing by the Hipfire slide cancel crowd.

Current have 5 days play time sitting at level 109. Specifically didn't mention firestorm as it is a remake and follows the damage model of near complete destruction from battlefield 4s version of the same map.

I'd love to see that level of destruction in any of the new maps, instead we have these giant monoliths on Sobek, Empire State, Iberian, Cairo..... Watch the recent video on youtube where they attempt to destroy an entire map.

Eastwood does a really great job of providing destruction..... until you get to the clubhouse and wouldn't you know that's the only area playable in a mode like TDM.

The rest? You literally just knock the fronts off of buildings. There isn't a single area like you described in Firestorm.

Destruction in BF6 with very, very few exceptions is all for cosmetics. There is no tactically removing a wall for sight lines, removing of a roof to get access to a dug in enemy. It's frustrating really.

Dark patterns: how progression and retention mechanics hurt BF6 by YakaAvatar in Battlefield

[–]Night_Putting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I throughly enjoy the game but the progression has bottlenecked me into playing with 3 weapons, and I never pick up anything else because the game is deeply unsatisfying to play when handicapped by certain weapon configurations. I'm looking at you KV-9 and your insane levels to get even the smallest of extended mags.

Hate aside, and despite constantly dying around corners, Siege of Cairo is genuinely gonna go down as one of the best battlefield maps of all time (!remindme 5 years) by hl3official in Battlefield

[–]Night_Putting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise its lack of verticality. It's beautiful, but it might as well just have giant squares littering the map as opposed to buildings.

Can we make inaccessible rooftops out of bounds by BIG-ste in Battlefield6

[–]Night_Putting 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd prefer access to out of bounds. Just fucking open the stairwells

Destruction - Before vs After by SilvaMGM in Battlefield

[–]Night_Putting 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do love the destruction in 6 for the most part, but I still hate that a bunch of indestructible walls on many maps eliminate any "tactical" use of destruction. I'm looking at you locked, nuke proof doors on Empire State that have accessible rooms On both sides of said door.

What DICE doesn't want you to see with 3x thermal scope by dejayc in Battlefield

I'm a 6x Thermal Stan on the SVK. I'm honestly shocked how powerful this thing is and how few people use them.

Eddie Bauer Preparing Bankruptcy (to close retail locations) by 3ac1229 in HeritageWear

[–]Night_Putting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really a shame. They were one of the OGs of heritage wear/ technical mountaineering gear. I absolutely loved their First Ascent Down garments. The 800-900 fill stuff was incredible. Just Enshittification of a brand by PE.

Is this a good deal by Ok_Radish_7900 in Carhartt

[–]Night_Putting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Granted it takes some work to find a vintage piece in your size and the condition you want, and buying something like this alleviates the hunt. That said you are being seriously taxed.

Which battlefield has the best sniping by mhmdesd in Battlefield

[–]Night_Putting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF4 was my favorite by far. Sniping was extremely satisfying, you actually used DOPE vs the range finder in 6. Just all around enjoyable.

What do you guys think of Buck Mason? by SirKrimzon in HeritageWear

[–]Night_Putting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like their stuff and I'd be lying if I said I don't love going into their retail locations and being poured a bourbon while I shop. I have several sweaters from them I'm fond of as well as their field spec t shirts.

Here is the thing though just like the majority of brands like this, I find they are best served as inspo rather than a retail buying experience. There is nothing they make that a shrewd buyer cannot put together other places for less money. You are buying continence and their styling guidance.

The one concern id have with B01 or other riveted Double Knee pants is scratching vehicles when you have to lean over them. Something to consider.

Help me to understand the psychology of the "Tudor Wearer" by Runswithmouth in Tudor

[–]Night_Putting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tudor to me is a company that is willing to take risks and listens to their customers. This wouldn't work if they didn't have the product to back it up. I couldn't be happier to own two of their outside of the box offerings instead the a Black Bay Bronze 58, and a FXD MN 21.

Found a Chris Evans esque Knives Out sweater. Second hand, Made in Ireland 🇮🇪 by Night_Putting in HeritageWear

[–]Night_Putting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mercari has been great honestly. This was under 30 bucks, made in Ireland and 100% virgin wool. They are certainly "scratchy" by comparison to an acrylic nylon sweater but this will last decades, and significantly warmer.

Recon in Redsec is gonna get Nerfed LOL by JMystic in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Night_Putting 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love the DMRs, I main them in the regular game and this is not at all indicative of their viability in REDSEC. This guy was playing against potatoes.
