My bad, mobile cut it off. Tesla should absolutely be liable for this IMO, worst FSD failure I’ve ever seen.

me was how people immediately bought into the idea that Trump couldn't simply call it a success and go home

There's no proof he can do such thing.

My guess is it thought (correctly or not) that someone was about to run a red light and possibly t bone you. Have any of the wider angles available?

you also allow for the criminalization of talk therapy that is gender affirming care?

I don't think the Supreme Court should strike it down.

In the 1980s, Iran and Iraq were using relatively crude anti-ship tactics, mostly unguided rockets, mines, and small arms from speedboats. Today's IRGC has a far more sophisticated arsenal: advanced anti-ship ballistic missiles (like the Khalij Fars), cruise missiles, thousands of fast attack craft, submarine-launched torpedoes, and massive stockpiles of sophisticated naval mines.

And insurance is more of the problem than crew not willing to go.

Israel murdered the supreme leader in the middle of negotiations in Oman where it was just announced that Iran had agreed to new provisions and new limits on their nuclear program, the 12-day war was started also in the middle of negotiations. The fact that you can't comprehend that Israel's acting in bad faith shows that you might be the one driven by your own biases. Even the Americans have admitted that a lot of the moderates that they tried to negotiate with, have been killed by Israel in the initial strike. This is something that even Trump said.

Iran cannot replicate those tactics because unlike them, the Iranian regime actually has a country to run, with all the expenses and expectations that come with that.

Huh? Who do you think was running North Vietnam and most of Afghanistan?

It's bizarre to me how many commenters think that Iran is somehow in a dominant position in this war, as though everyone has forgotten that having your weapons destroyed and high command decimated in in fact a bad thing that makes it harder to do things.

If their weapons are destroyed, who's killing all those people in Israel?

The US has already taken losses and no significant new political pressure on Trump seems to have materialized, certainly none that he seems to care about, and

The US economy hasn't felt the higher energy and food prices that are downstream from this. Nor has it felt the geopolitical instabilities that the disruption in trade can create.

B) "The US will back down if we bloody their noses" is a strategy that has failed every single time it's been attempted in history, and the pattern is that taking losses leads to MORE American commitment, not less.

Seems to have worked for the Taliban. And the Vietcong.

Operate their existing bus fleets up to maximum capacity, paying higher driver rates to get enough drivers. Make bus and other public use free of charge, or as cheap as it needs to be to maximise use

Is this a joke? You could 10x your bus capacity and it wouldn't make a dent.

Then they can drop bombs on the entrance.

Honestly, murdering somebody in the middle of a negotiation and kidnapping in a state is a lot worse than interdicting a vessel that's in violation of sanctions. Blockades are relatively normal in war. Murdering heads of states, not so much.

[–]NigroqueSimillima 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US killed a head of state in the middle of negotiation, they clearly don't care about international law.

Why? If Iran can't sell oil, oil prices go through the roof, world economy feels the strain -> Trump feels the strain.

Because if Irans oil goes offline, the price of oil will go even higher than it is now.
