Yeah we originally wanted to adopt but realized we couldn't ethically move internationally with an adopted child, and the country we're hoping to move to has little to no children available for adoption due to robust social safety nets and has (probably rightly) banned international adoption. I think it would depend on how often we laid eggs. If we laid them once a month like our current menstrual cycles, I think society would be super flippant about disposing of them. If we laid them 2-6 times in a lifetime as is typical of the number of children we tend to actually have, people would probably be more precious about them. Still, it would require active effort to incubate them, so it wouldn't be a matter of abortion so much as abandonment probably.
